So I've sent my dogs to the groomers twice in the past month or so and they STILL have fleas. I've tried spraying some toppical medication on them and that isn't helping much either. Can anyone recommend something to kill those blood sucking ****ers?

Get a flea collar that Kills the eggs, Plus the adults. Then bomb your house.

Sweep the legs!

There's some stuff...I can't remember what it's called but it's f'n great. You can get it at the pet store, it's topical you place it on the nape of the pet and apparently it drips down their back. Worked wonders for my cat.
I also bought some spray for the house and and killed those buggers, I used it more like a spot on action...wherever I saw them hopping I shot and killed them. No more fleas. It's been well of two years and I haven't had a problem since. :up:

I too have a dog and we give her multiple baths in flea/tic shampoo and she has a flea collar, only to find her scratching the next day. I suggest sprinkling flea/tic powder, commonly known as Seven Dust in your yard where they play and roll around. You can kill the fleas/tics all you want on the dog...but you have to kill the source and that is your yard.

Or you could douse them in lighter fluid, and then throw a match on them.

That'd get rid of the fleas.

...oh, god, that's TERRIBLE.:wow::csad:

get new groomers

Frontline, Advantage, any of those drops you apply to the back of the dog (between the shoulder blades) work best. Flea shampoos are second, but only kill the fleas on the animal. Stay away from flea collars, since they cause skin irritation and don't really do much else. (Also a while back there was a recall of Hartz brand flea products due to the deaths of animals that were exposed to the products. I'm not going to say to stay away from the brand, but I do think it's important to know.)

You also need to know that fleas don't live on the animal, they live in carpeting and upholestry, so you'll need to take care of your house as well.
