I once again ask, does McDonalds in the USA taste that bad? Or is it just the general opinion passed on due to the health issues this type of food causas?

No, it is really that bad. The fries/frites/chips are great, and the pies used to be great, but that's it. And I consider myself an aficionado of all kinds of food, especially things likes burgers and fries. If you're a food expert and can't tell the difference between a McD's burger and something else, you need to find a different job.

Organic food is overhyped and a marketing ploy. As the taste test points out too it's no better than McDonald's. Although there is one major difference: They didn't test this in the United States where the quality is lower but in the Netherlands where there are standards.

The Burger King near where I live has blended iced coffee and the like, even better than McDonald's, but the employees there move at a sluggish pace.

We have none of those around here, when it comes to fast food restaurants there's only McDonalds, Burger King and KFC, aside from other franchises like Pizza Hut and others. Aside from fast food restaurants there's a lot of variety and nutritional food to choose from, yet people still go to these fast food restaurants. This test itself had critics being served the so called "crappy food" without knowing where it came from, once all thos preconceptions are gone, they enjoy what they're served.

McDonalds isn't all that cheap around here, you could spend 6 dollars from the menu on another healthier restaurant or canteen instead. Yes, you can buy a burger or fries for 1 euro, but that doesn't realy leave you full, so i realy don't believe the theory that people go there because it's cheap, from experience i only see people going there because they enjoy the taste of the food, even if they know the quality's crapy.

But man, when I was a kid McDonald's used to deep fry their pies and it would get that hard, bubbled up crust on them. It didn't matter that the insides were just fruity syrup, those were awesome.
