So today I'm watching the tv ad for The incredible Hulk, and on the bottom of the screen it says, warning this film portrays the consumption of Tobacco!

Nothing about the fight scenes or violence or scary moments just about tobacco. What a joke. What has this world come to when they put a warning out about that. big F'ing Deal!

Better go back all these years and do the same for every movie ever made! Including cartoons. Yikes!

I don't care if there's violence or tobacco, but if they're trying to let people know who have kids then you'd think they would have mentioned the scary monsters fighting. so funny.:bh::hehe:

Must be about Thunderbolt's cigars.

I agree. These things are getting ridiculous. It's not necessary to warn people about every type of immoral (or in the case of tobacco, unwise) behavior being exhibited on screen. I'm a non-smoker and I don't want my children to smoke when they get older, but come on. Where do you draw the line? If you warn about tobacco use, you should also include other unsavory behavior patterns:

Warning: This movie depicts comic book action, sci-fi violence, scary images, tobacco use, instances of dishonesty by protagonist, evasion of authority figures by protagonist, coveting of thy neighbor's wife, product placement thereby instilling a sentiment of envy among young movie goers, characters adorned in clothing made up of mixed fabric (which is forbidden in the Old Testament), characters with tattoos, one scene in which a background performer is wearing a white T-shirt and for 17 frames of film the nipple of her left breast causes a definite contour outline visible in the lower one-fourth of the movie screen. Oh, and a whole bunch of people are violently murdered.

Saw a few more and that is the only warning I see. It's so funny that with this being one of the most violent Marvel heroes and vicious villians with big fights and all that that is the only warning on the ad.

Hulk and the Abomination are not real monsters. I think many of the victims of tobacco, however, would agree that it is one. Cigarettes are being banned from public places to protect the innocent. This is called progress. Its something we (sometimes) turn to in this country to make up for our mistakes and to benefit the childrens. I heard that soon images of cigarettes will make for an immidiant R rating. How anyone could disagree with this (Bush voters) is beyong my means of comprehension.

Ummmm, cars kill more people than cigarettes. Yet we turn 15 and 16 year old inexperienced drivers loose with 6 ton machines that run on roads with only painted lines to separate life from death. We let 88 year olds who have to watch TV with binoculars continue to drive our roads because it is their "right". Should we ban cars too?

I disagree with it and I don't vote at all. My reasoning is this: Tobacco use is something that happens in everyday life. One cannot walk anywhere without seeing someone smoking, it's that widely done. To restrict the potential audience of a movie simply because it's included in the film is silly and pointless.

Also, the negative effects of smoking is so widely known that anyone who decides to pick up smoking because "General Thunderbolt from the Hulk did it" deserves the tar-filled lungs for being so immensely stupid.

Not for long. As for the car thing, I think we should raise the age to seventeen and restrict old people to only being able to drive to Country Kitchen Buffet and back. But for real, we should make it harder for teens and minorities to get drivers licenses. We learn about the Magna Carta like nine times throughout our school careers, but all there is to know about driving is summarized in a two week class?

Honestly, I doubt that they can ban smoking in any outdoor area.

And you just lost your credibility.

You all ready can't smoke outdoors in some cities, maybe outside your house but not outside of shopping centers inside the city and CERTAINLY not in hotels/restaurants/stores where innocent children or minorities may be present. Sorry braugh. Hey, and by the way, you like ferrets too damn much it appears.

Okay.. first off, what is with you and the friggin' minority comments? I mean, seriously, I'm a white guy, but even I find that somewhat offensive (as well as incredibly confusing) that you keep bringing that up.

Second, I don't know about you, but I know many people to smoke outside and see it daily, even in public places near the "innocent children" who, btw, are breathing in stuff much worse than cigarette smoke anyway.

Third, yes, I enjoy a ferret or two now and again.

I don't see what's wrong with smoking, The Flinstones did it.

Am I supposed to pity you...or...?
Just stay on your toes, man. During certain phases of the moon I can go inside of the internet and cause major changes/damages your mind wouldn't even allow you to have nightmares about.

:huh::huh::huh:
They should make a comic about you.
