Former Smallville Actor Arrested in Drug Conspiracy

Sam Jones, one of the stars of the TV show "Smallville", was arrested this morning in connection with a major drug distribution conspiracy involving over 10,000 pills of oxycodone. Sam Jones, who plays Clark Kent's best friend on "Smallville, was charged as a co-conspirator in a series of drug deals that purportedly took place in 2008.

The Smallville actor was arrested in Los Angeles by DEA agents and formally charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone, a powerful prescription pain medication.
Documents filed in federal court depict Sam Jones as the "Hollywood Connection" in a plot to purchase and distribute oxycodone. The Smallville actor is scheduled to appear later today in federal court in Los Angeles. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted on the drug conspiracy charges.
The Smallville actor's arrest on illegal oxycodone distribution charges is just the latest in a recent line of troubling Hollywood news stories involving this powerful prescription pain medication and others like it. Currently, oxycodone is at issue in the untimely deaths of both Michael Jackson and Anna Nicole Smith.

I was just reading this myself. Man that sucks, i did like him when he was in the show and a few episodes of other shows i saw him in. Though drugs is a bad thing. Maybe he has had a problem with it. Or he was just a dealer. The story i read said he was raided for dealing. So maybe he was hard up on cash. Though such a shame.

So i was reading along with the whole drug bust thing on sam, He was staring in a new comedy show going to be airing on spike tv in jan i believe with another smallville alum alan Ritchson(aquaman), though i wonder if it wont air now if jones is convicted.
