Sam Jones, who plays Clark Kent's best friend on "Smallville, was charged as a co-conspirator in a series of drug deals that purportedly took place in 2008.
The Smallville actor was arrested in Los Angeles by DEA agents and formally charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone, a powerful prescription pain medication.
Documents filed in federal court depict Sam Jones as the "Hollywood Connection" in a plot to purchase and distribute oxycodone.
