Foxx to Join Butler in Law Abiding Citizen

Looks pretty cool, I like how it takes a big twist after the revenge plot. I look forward to this one.

Also, I wonder which romantic comedy Butler will follow this one up with.

So, based on the trailer it looks like the movie starts out as nothing special and then switches gears when Butler becomes a psychotic villain. Definitely way more interesting than a standard revenge flick. But I'm uneasy about what look like Saw-ish torture scenes. They're almost always gratuitous in movies like this and end up being more reprehensible than cathartic.

Yeah that crossed my mind as well but hopefully they will be kept short and serve the story rather than be overtly gruesome.

Saw that poster on Monday at my movie theater and prompted me to watch the trailer. Certainly looks interesting, but Gerard really needs to work on that accent.

Definitely looking forward to this, anyone see Gamer?

Just saw the trailer for this now. It's got a good intriguing feel to it. I be there on day 1 to see this.

another movie that has more of a punisher vibe than any of the marvel punisher movies. I shall see this.

I'll be waiting for DVD now after the reviews I've seen pouring in.

:(

Death Sentence and The Brave One got quite amount of bad reviews too, but I still enjoyed both of 'em. I'm just a sucker for vigilantism. :o

i was talked into going to a football game tonight although i had plans to see this tonight...ill probably see it tomorrow for sure...i wanna know if im wasting money...so has anyone seen this???

Am I the only one that thinks this looks horrid? I keep seeing TV spots and I'm really annoyed by it.

I wanted to see this and planned on seeing it, but Paranormal Activity opened the same day.

I was going to see it, but it really took a dive in the reviews so....rental most likely. :o

Geez, this is the second forum in a row I've went to and found myself one of the only people who saw it.

It was solid entertainment to be honest. Roger Ebert was right in that there are some parts where after the movie you find yourself thinking "Wait, that doesn't make sense" but during the movie you don't think it. I really enjoyed it :)

7.5/10

Really good movie. Finally, Gerard follows up 300 with something to build his career upon.

I'm scared to go see this..I want to like it.

I sure hope there is an alternate ending on the DVD. All they have to do really is have the building Rice was in at the end go BOOM & voila the perfect movie. Heck a fan should take a random night scene building explosion from any movie & stick it at the end of this movie & there you go lol

Great flick....****** ending.

I hated Jamie Foxx's character.
"Evil" mustn't triumph over good, after all. I couldn't help but think that the writer/s *****ed out in the end. That Foxx et al moved the napalm bombs to Shelton's jail cell was, frankly, ****ing hard to swallow. Being the so-called mastermind killer, Shelton didn't see that coming?! :whatever:

Aside from the disappointing third act, everything else was rather entertaining.
