Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired Samson, a pitch for a futuristic retelling of the Samson and Delilah story, reports Variety.

Scott Silver (8 Mile) will write the script, and Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) will direct. Erwin Stoff will produce through 3 Arts.

Samson gives a futuristic twist to the story of the biblical strongman who was invincible until he was betrayed by Delilah, to whom he entrusted the secret that his strength came from his long hair.

Anyway it could be cool. They really need to get a bulky guy . Not like Ahnuld big but still he should be pumped.

I know it's a retelling but still :
Samson fights a lion and kills it with his bare hands , kills 30 philistines and afterwards kills 3000 philistines with a jawbone of an ass .

Lawrence has already had chance to prove that he can direct films that not only visually effective, but also have god stories with at least quality storytelling, two times.

I don't trust him.
