The idea is to come up with a witty alternative. So far the witty alternatives have been great.

How would you be considered a "sadist" for wanting to be with a man that you're in love with before having sex? Sadism is is defined as the derivation of pleasure as a result of inflicting pain or watching pain inflicted on others.

It doesn't strike me as Alpha behavior to let someone have complete possession of you body and soul. Alpha usually means leader, if you give someone that much power you're not the leader. A good relationship means you're equal partners, no one take ownership or possession of the other person.

Instead of highlighting the friends aspect of it, I think a no-strings-attached acquaintance who happen to also be friends, is probably the best polite way to put it.

It's more of a cliche' debate, rather than what is appropriate to say amongst friend.

In our case, the chick and I are friends - the moment she said the last comic she read was 'The Killing Joke,' closed the case for me.

So - yeah - it's not about highlighting, or trying to avoid, more of the regular terms are too vulgar, over-used, cliche', etc.

Even staying on topic-ish with the thread, friends with benefits was out of the question. I would have gotten attached. . . sure of it.

I believe my first was around the age of 25/26, and it wasn't even full benefits.

Most of my "friends with benefits" situations eventually turned into relationships or were with ex-girlfriends. We'd break up but think we could keep just the fun stuff going.
