It's okay. They're just shapeshifters. They dont count as people. :o

it would have been 10x cooler if he shot one and then immediately bent Olivia over the nearest couch and had his way with her

This episode wasnt really that good. It was good as Fringe always is but not as good. There were too many questions in this ep like mentioned before. When and why did MD decide to build the machine? Why did Peter create a cypher to kill the shape shifters that he had to have known Olivia would figure out? I dunno what to think about serial killer Peter either, face it, they might as well have been people. They are concious, sentient beings, that's enough. Taking the show in a really odd direction. WTF happened to The Pattern??? What happened to the Alt-Universe? We haven't had an alt-centric episode since the return of Olivia, and I don't care if she's back, good for her! but they have spent time introducing us to these other characters on the other side and what has been going on since Alt-Broyles sacrificed himself for Olivia? I wanna see the impact it has had on the alt fringe team as well and see what Waleternate is up to since. Anyways, gotta love that they actually adopted the name Fauxlivia hahaha! I thought that was awesome! haha

it was a cypher from the other Olivia....Peter just figured it out, he didn't come up with the cypher himself

They built the machine so they could figure out what part Pholivia (I like that spelling better than Fauxlivia :p) took, and so they could figure out how the machine works so they can stop Walternate (or, if worse comes to worse, use it themselves).

didn't see that connection with Sam the bowling alley guy coming, pretty slick. PS. the melodrama is starting to grind... they need to resolve the bolivia/olivia thing... it's just really annoying now, as soon as I see her and peter start to bla bla about their relationship, I fall asleep, and miss the rest of the episode.

Dr.Spock book in William Bell's office, har har har.

The "game changer" everyone's been foaming at the mouth over was a little disappointing. I mean, I look forward to what's ahead, but that hardly counts as a game-changer to me.

It's a game changer. It's just a really long term one.

Unless Walternate is planning on doing some freaky science mojo on his grandfetus.

Now that I think about it, it really is a game changer. Because Peter has to choose which universe to save.

Does he choose the one with the woman he loves?

Or does he choose the one with his unborn child?

I thought it really interesting that Walternate, arguable painted as the more villainous version of Walter, refused to experiment on children with the Cortexifan. Nice touch.

They did a good job this episode because, despite all the hatred I built up for Pholivia while she was on our side, I actually felt sorry for her last week.

I really hate the alternate fringe division, mostly because of the blond haired *****e dude. He just seems out of place to me.

Good news. The President of Fox entertainment is happy with Fringe's performance on Friday. Bucking what most people expected, Fringe's ratings after the move remained steady, rather than falling. Which boosts the show's chances for seeing another season because, seriously, what else does Fox have that they're willing to air on Friday with an established steady fanbase.

At this point, with the way they've been running their mouths off about this every chance they get, I'd be really shocked if it gets canned. It'd be like "We're loving it's performance! Don't worry, guys, you're all good........ but you're still cancelled."

I love the alternate universe so much more than ours. I'm not happy with the change in the burned guy's character. I liked the likable him to the *****ebag leader now. It also struck me as odd how quickly and unquestioningly they moved on from the missing Broyles.

I can never gush enough about John Noble's performance on this show. This guy is freaking amazing. I've never felt enough to comment on the performance of actors but this guy is so great I have to mention it. I loved that Walternate won't experiment on children.

How does this new development change Walternate's plans? Does he still want to use the doomsday machine? Or is he going to be content with having his grandson and loving him like he wanted to do with his own son.

I would love to see the twist that Walternate abandons his plans to destroy our universe but our universe fearing the fear of destruction from the other side continues to learn about the doomsday device and uses it to destroy the alternate universe. As the irreversible process starts they learn the truth that there was no longer a danger from the other side. Maybe they can save a few people from the alternate universe before it goes ka-bloo-ey.

This is a really good show.

I think Walternate's going to use the baby to try and convince Peter to come back and choose their universe. Then he'll be able to destroy ours, stop his from falling apart, and get his ultimate revenge on Walter for taking Peter in the first place.

Keep in mind Walter was going to return Peter but then his wife saw Peter. If it was not for Walter Peter #2 would be dead. Peter realized this & did thank him for it. While keeping Peter #2 was wrong he did save his life & I am guessing that Peter will die to save both realities & restore balance as Peter was going to die anyway

But Walternate doesn't know any of that. And if he did, he probably wouldn't care because, unlike Walter, he's hasn't had pieces of his brain removed. So while Walter is rather mellow, forgiving, and guilt ridden, Walternate is none of that (well, he's still guilt ridden, but he doesn't let it control his decisions).
