Morgan, an Academy Award nominee for his screenplays for The Queen and Frost/Nixon, met with Hefner on Tuesday.
And afterward, the Playboy founder tweeted, ”I had a good meeting today with screenwriter Peter Morgan discussing a film about my life.”
The Hefner project, which originally was developed by Imagine Entertainment, moved over to Warners earlier this year.
Morgan, who most recently wrote Fernando Meirelles’ 360 and Ron Howard’s upcoming Rush, is repped by UTA and Independent Talent Group.

What do you think about this? I'm kind of curious. Hefner said he wanted Hugh Jackman to play him at one point. I would be quite curious about that.

For some reason I think Michael Fassbender would be awesome in this role. He kind of looks like Hefner for some reason.

This Hefner biopic has been floating around for years, I'll believe it when I see it.
