Full House Revival in the Works

Thats true. Like, does anyone watch or talk about Lilyhamer? And didnt that show get 4 seasons?

I ended up binge-watching it all. I know I shouldn't of liked it, but I did. First two episodes were rough, but it did pick up. Was pretty fun just seeing the kids from the original grown up. The more adult humor really helped, and actually had me laughing quite a bit.

It's legit good. Way better than Girl Meets World.

This is true. Girl Meets World does have it's place though.

Both shows do a good job at showing the future and yet reflecting the past. What I mean by that is by having 2 or 3 characters from the show grow up and the rest of the characters pop in for guest appearances every so often and not rely on them too much. We saw that on Girl Meets World when a character from Boy Meets World pops up every so often and we see it here on Fuller House. Every once in a while, Danny, Jesse, Joey and Rebecca would pop up. It does make me wonder if that format would work on other shows from the era of TGIF that might be brought back. Not certain how Family Matters or Step by Step would work via that format (bringing back only a few characters from the old shows and have the rest make guest appearances).

The original show didn't have a proper ending as I remembered it. I read that this show was a chance to give the old show a proper ending and technically, we got that in the first episode.

The trailer made it look awful but I was surprised with how many times I laughed and how it wasn't awful like Two Broke Girls. It isn't like Brooklyn Nine-Nine or Happy Endings where I'll rewatch episodes multiple times but it was enjoyable enough to binge the entire season in one night. I will check out season 2.

If this was a brand new show on Netflix, I wouldn't be watching. But they assembled a great cast and executed something old fans can enjoy/tolerate.

Since Cousin Cody can't come back (RIP), I'd never want a Step By Step reunion.

It's amazing how some crushes stand the test of time. After all these years Jodie still = :hrt:

So I decided to try to start watching this. I'm only like a minute and a half in, and my favorite thing so far is seeing the subtle internal laughter of Bob Saget knowing how horrible this show is.

Nicky and Alex though. :atp:

I never thought I'd last 4 and a half episodes so far but I actually find myself laughing a good amount. There's a decent amount of adult material they sprinkle in, but it certainly feels in the spirit of the original show, while keeping in mind the age of the original audience.

You know it's doing something right when we get a Schwarzenegger impression 3 episodes in.

I think it's more, once the show ended, everyone got to know the REAL Bob Saget in his stand-up, various cameos, and Entourage so him circling around back to Danny Tanner is a bit surreal

I mean it's work isn't it? Saget probably got a nice deal to come back to play Danny Tanner again.

I mean, since the show is Netflix exclusive does he get any sort of residuals or anything in the future like for syndication? I mean can they even syndicate this series if they wanted to after a certain period of time?

So in the case of these Netflix shows, wouldn't their agents and managers want them to get bigger lump sums up front?

FYI, I read that by the end of its run Full House cost about $1.3 million per episode and cost about double the average sitcom at the time.

Saget wouldn't turn down a nice check

the episodes are about 25-32 minutes a piece so it looks like they are formatted for syndication if someone is interested

It definitely is hard to look at Saget the same way when he does these scenes. Its like you could practically see the dirty thoughts running through his brain when he's talking to his kids. lol

just Kimmy Gibbler, if you've heard any of his stand up

I mean yeah he totally wouldn't.

But now we are in an age where it's cool to like and embrace stuff like Full House.

Kind of disgusted at how Candice Cameron is so anti-gay, but has no problem appropriating it by episode 3's dance contest.

Considering it's her call to actually act the writing out, no. The writers are not the one with such a public stance on it.

ok then, I am only marginally familiar with her public stance on anything, I just know she's a bit of a bible thumper who married Pavel Bure

Are those two spanish guys in episode 3 supposed to well known or something? The laugh track cheered when they came on screen but I dunno who they are. lol

I haven't watched yet, is there any mention of Stephanie's friend Gia?

I've been seeing a lot of dislike for Kimmy's ex. But he had me cracking up a lot.

No, but there is a mention of Harry Takayama. Hopefully in season two. I'd be curious to see what Gia's been doing and if she's still in contact with Stephanie. Stephanie's career would have been fun for Gia.
