Paramount just announced that the new trailer for GI Joe will be in theaters with Star Trek. Really this comes as no surprise at all when you consider how big Star Trek is going to be. What better film to flag your trailer to. The trailer will also make its online debut May 1st

It's because Paramount is doing a horrible job of promoting this film with the exception of the tv spot. Paramount is either working their ass off to try and correct all of Stephen Sommers screwups or they have little faith in this film. This trailer will need to be one of the most amazing 2 minutes of cinematography I've ever see to convince me that spending 10 bucks on this will be worthwhile.

I dunno. I was not all that impressed by the Super Bowl spot.

The trailer could really make or break the interest for this movie.

It just seems odd to me that we are only about 3 months out from this movie and we are only getting the first actual trailer now. I mean think about it. There's been the Super Bowl spot and nothing. They didn't show a darn thing at Con last year.

I will not turn off my brain to enjoy this fine looking film about...G.I. JOE! Rise Of Cobra looks fantastic, and while I like The Baroness, I am much more interested in seeing Scarlett, and if she falls for either Snake Eye's (G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Comic) or Duke (GIJARAH Cartoon). I can't wait to see Snake Eyes Vs Storm Shadow in a live action film. YO JOE!

I'm digging it. I'm sure the high quality trailer will look much better. But I think this will be a fun movie. Some are better at acting that others. Scarlett talking makes me think she should stick to whatever she did before acting.

But I am mixed. Because I am reading the current G.I. Joe comics and after watching G.I. Joe Resolute.

That to me is how a G.I. Joe movies should be done. And I think it might be too little too late for this one. But I do think it looks like a fine time and that's what I want when I see a movie.

I'm shocked. This looks pretty darn good on an action level perspective. It gets me more excited than 90% of the wolverine tv spots and trailers I've seen. It will probably be a fun popcorn flick and is dangerously close to being added to my must see list for the summer.

I was disappointed with the Baroness not speaking with a russian accent and not getting to see Cobra Commander. Everything else is a pleasant surprise including Marlon Wayans not acting like an imbecile.

I was expecting this to look like the worst sci-fi/action movie trailer I've seen in years. Instead it looks like it may be fun. Of course I thought the trailers for Van Helsing looked good and that was an epic disaster with the exception of the first 10minutes.

My expectations for this movie have been pretty low for a while so that might have had an effect on my opinion of the trailer.

It looks like Team America without puppets.

A lot of obvious CG FX shots and tons of Matrix slow-mo on crack. Sommers didn't abuse it as much in Deep Rising and The Mummy.

This is GIJOE!!!

It's suppose to be fun!!

So far this trailer is WAYYY BETTER than Dragon Ball or Chun Li.

I really don't see any comparisons. This looks way more budget than those 2 failed films.


Mark my words, this GIJOE film will do for GIJOE what Transformers film did for Transformers.


It will make Hasbro more filthy rich!!!!

Some scenes look cheesy ,but most of the action looks cool.Those suits are going to turn every JOE into Iron Man i guess

I don't know why anyone would expect a completely serious take on this mythos. Those suits are a minor part of the movie. A lot of it looks fun, a little cheesy, but it's really cool to see things like The Baroness, the vehicles, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow onscreen. Really, I don't think we've seen enough to make any kind of a call on the movie's overall quality. Here's hoping the dialogue isn't completely awful.
