I had never even heard about this school before this year. When I found this university on google, I went to their website and let me tell you it looks awesome. I am very intrigued by filmmaking process(who isn't right), but I have been searching for a film school after I graduated high school in May 2009 that looked like a nice environment. So I download their catalog to my computer and read over it. It really sounds pretty damn good from what I see in the catalog. I am thinking this is the right film school with a degree in film that is closer to me from home(Louisana). Before I was thinking about going to the New York Film Academy but it is really expensive and Federal Financial Aid is not available, Los Angeles Film School but it is too far away.
So I wonder if anyone on the SuperHeroHype Boards is at or has ever been to Full Sail University? Or who also wish go to enroll here someday?
What is the environment like? Classes? Labs? Schedule?
What are the steps to enrolling in Full Sail? What to do first? Last? How is the Financial Aid process?
I know that there aren't any on-campus housing but what apartments are closest to it and is it cheap?
I am expecting that any film school degree won't help me get into the movie industry, but I really want to learn all the aspects of filmmaking. This university looks to have the most hands-on experience. I know I'm asking for too much but this forum is the most engaging forum I had ever seen. I would really consider the answers as I am thinking about going. Thanks.
