Funeral songs

every breath you take- police

:ninja:

but i really have a feeling someone will play Angel by Sarah Maclachlan at mine.

Hooked on a Feeling - David Hasselhoff

If they could play the music video, that would be just dandy.

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

Not my choice but it has been for a lot of people.
I need to start thinking about that. I had a few songs in mind but for the life of me I can't think of them. I will at some point make plans and such,get my will prepared,etc.

How many songs do they usually play at a funeral? Three's about right?

Comfort Eagle - Cake
Which would basically represent me. Everything I was, or, at least, everything I wanted to me. And what I want to be remembered as.

Angles and Errors - Park
An apology for all of bad things I've done in my life. To let everyone know I do care about what I've done wrong, and that I was always mindful of it.

Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles
To tell people it isn't all that bad. I'm not depressed that I'm dead...and you shouldn't be either. :up:

Well, it's really an appropriate way to describe my personality, so I'm going to say I've picked one of the most emotional pieces ever to be heard by ears. Every time I hear it, well... I just start to cry when I think about my funeral. :csad: At my funeral, I'd like to hear...

Party All the Time by Eddie Murphy. It's a classic. :csad:

My Way - Frank Sinatra

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

That last part is especially what I would want to be remembered for.

"Ding Dong The Witch is Dead". I'm putting it in my last will&testament.

I don't like dwelling about my own mortality, but just for fun:

Stay Gold - Stevie Wonder
In My Life - The Beatles
The Show Must Go On - Queen
Layla (Piano Exit) - Derek & The Dominos

Candle in the Wind- Elton John
In My Life- The Beatles
Tears in Heaven- Eric Clapton

^^^
That's what I want to be played at the actual funeral section, but at the after party, I want hard drivin' blues.

:confused:

am I the only one on here who would rather have metal played as a funeral song?...

Well, I'm not a fan of metal. Though I like what some would consider metal. Though, most of it is hard rock to me. In fact most of what I consider Hard Rock is pretty much metal that doesn't suck.

Does anyone know the one song they play in The Oc, I believe they played it at Cal's funeral, it's like girl singing, with echos of her singing and it sounds kinda robotic?
