FX - The League

"YOU'RE ALL NAZIS!"

:lmao: This show may be surpassing Sunny.

Also, my prediction for this season:

Kevin finally wins the Shiva Bowl, only to have the truth about the draft order come out, the entire season becomes invalid and they are forced to endure another season of Ruxin as champion.

I think it'll most definitely come down to Kevin vs Jenny for the Shiva. The fact that this might not be renewed just means that they have to go for that storyline because it will be chock full of comedy gold. Kevin's freak out last year over not making it to the shiva bowl was ****ing glorious

i've never really watched this show, but i kept it on FX once It's Always Sunny ended. and i gotta say, i laughed more at tonite's episde of The League than It's Always Sunny. the bum that wrote on the bench and then the end with lady going off on the gang calling them Nazis :woot: that was hilarious

You should give it a go man, the show has been pretty consistently funny since the beginning

I think that it will get the renewal. Yeah, it only pulls in about 2.5 million viewers per episode (total, when you account for the repeats throughout the week), but it also continues to grow in the coveted 18-49 demographic (the third season premiere was up 70 % in that area from the first episode). It is cheap to produce, pulls in the same numbers as any possible replacement (Archer) and other shows in that slot have failed horribly. I'd say that it has a solid chance.

That being said, yeah, I too expect it to be Jenny and Kevin with Kevin winning only to have Jenny flip out this time, reveal that they fixed the draft and as a result, the season will be declared unofficial and Ruxin will get a second year as champion, perhaps leading to another Kevin meltdown.

I can't think of a better ending than that.

Anyone watch it this week? Another classic episode. Loved all the vulture stuff, and I totally understand the frustration because that's happened to me multiple times in my FF league. I loved Taco's line: "I'm going to stick around and date Nikki in the bathroom." Classic.

Also, I read Matthew Berry's column this week on ESPN and I was surprised to learn that most of The League is unscripted. These guys pretty much make this stuff up as they go along, relying only on a basic outline for each scene. They're all even more talented than I realized.

Yeah, apparently the set up will be something like, Pete and Ruxin walk into a bar, mention a party they are going to later, and Ruxin doesn't leave a tip. And that's IT.

I gotta applaud these men. That is remarkable. Not many actors and/or comedians can pull that off and be fantastic at the same time.

Yeah, I agree. And I absolutely love Sunny. But The League is the funniest show on TV, IMO.

That scene where Ruxin was singing and eating jelly on crackers was some of the funniest, most random sh** I have ever seen.

Last night's episode was classic. I could not stop laughing. I will miss this show when Direct TV drops FX next week :(

F*** Direct TV. Such ridiculous bullsh**. For once, I'm glad I have FIOS (and FIOS sucks).

But yeah, last night was awesome. When Rafi showed up for the "golden gate" my jaw hit the floor. LOL

Yeah, that's how Curb does it, too.

Jeff Goldblum, you say? Looks like I'm tuning in...

The sorbet scene alone has convinced me that I need to watch this full-time. I am amazed.

That whole scene was pure comedy gold.

This show has officially surpassed "It's Always Sunny".

I've never seen this show, but the episode tonight makes me want to see more of it, haha. Some dirty, dirty, but absolutely hilarious comedy.

Damn, I never found Sarah Silverman hot before, but last night changed all that.

This was the best episode EVER!! And Sawyer, you don't watch this every week!?!?!?!? Why the hell not!?!?!?! I've watched since the very beginning
