Lately I've taken to gambling, Roulette to be exact. And me and a freind came up with a system, and it generally seems to work, so much so that it's paying for a new apartment. The system works better the more money you have, as you lay bets down to cover your previous losses until it comes in, then go back to a low bet. At what point should I be worried? lol

You should be worried right now, you should never use gambling to pay the rent, you're on a hot streak right now, but it will and always does cool off.

I'm only moving in when I have a years rent, and pay it off at once, I'm not too silly! Someone is giving us 3000 and we get to keep like 50% of the profits, so tis looking good! Alternatively, we're selling our method for 1500, so that's easy money!

me and my friends play this dice game "3's" at our bar.... at 5 bucks a game with about 8 people playing... 40 buck pot... we'd play all night long till we were either too drunk or too broke.

I love that game..

I think you should be worried when you think you have a system that will let you win at gambling.

When it becomes a staple of your life, then yeah, it's time to step back. That goes with anything, whether it be liquor, drugs, or what have you. I do hit the casino occasionally because I like to play, but I can't depend on it to get me through financial issues.

This is a very well known system in gambling circles. The problem is that you make a modest amount each time you win relative to the huge risk that you are unknowingly facing. Casinos are fully aware of this strategy and that is the reason they have maximum and minimum bets at tables. This limits the number of chances you have to cover your losses so as soon as you go on bad run you lose everything. The casinos also become aware of people forced into large cover bets and monitor them. To use this strategy safely you need to have such a large monetary base relative to your stake that you are as well off putting the money in the bank and getting a small riskfree return.

I hate gambling. I only like things where I know I can win based on my skill, no chance involved.
Luckily I find it more exciting to save money, hoard money, watching a mountain of cash grow, look at it, dream about it.

I made over 200 from 20 today, so it's going well, and although there is risk, it's not that much, if you have enough money to start with, all you need is one of 12 numbers to come in over 50 spins. Which on a table of 36 is pretty high chance!

Been to Vegas, believe I lost 1,000 so far now my luck is baaad. My friend though has won several hundred to a 1,000 dollars on poker or slots.

I've been to the track a few times,horses here and saw dogs in Fla. I never win.
Interesting crowds at those events. I'm done attending.
