Gameday routines

We've all heard stories about what players do to prep themselves on game day, but what do you as a fan do? Particularly if you're going to actually be there. Doesn't matter what game it is, football, baseball, either college or pro..anything.

What do you do on gameday?

That one dude who got slapped really hard in the face before every game on the Jags a few years ago. That's me, before every significant sporting event or game.

Haha, I meant the other way around. However, I would not enjoy such a tradition. I usually just sit there and watch the game like a boring person.

during the NFL season, if I have any errands to run, they get done early Sunday morning....and Ill usually eat lunch during the pregame...once 1:00 hits everything shuts down....phone doesn't get answered unless its an emergency

If I'm watching at home, I usually grab a snack, don some kind of apparel, t-shirt, jersey or whatever and watch the game. Saturdays watching the Bulldogs, and Sunday for Falcons never stray from this routine.
With baseball in the spring and summer, no biggie..just grab a Coke and laptop, chill out and watch da game.

Actually going to a game is a bigger deal, but those are some long stories.

When watching Playoff Games for any of my teams I always start off by drinking a Dirty Martini whenever possible.

However when I was playing hockey in college I was always the last one to tap the goalies pads before the start of a period and the last one off the ice and last one to leave the locker room.

One thing I do is wear a home jersey if my favorite team is playing at home, or away if they're away.

I don't really do anything crazy prior to attending or viewing games. I just don a jersey when I go to a game & park myself in front of the tv otherwise. I did go through a routine during the '06 Finals: Miami lost the first 2 games, but after winning game 3 I had to wear the same shirt I wore while watching the game until they lost again. Wore it 4 straight games & won the title...and no, I didn't wash it, lol.
