What are some games or franchises that you think deserve another chance on this next set of consoles? I'm talking about games that you personally liked and saw future potential in, but for whatever reason maybe didn't get great reviews, or didn't sell as well as they should have.

I would of said Sleeping Dogs a few weeks ago, but its been confirmed that game will get a follow up. Other than that though, im not too sure. I wouldnt mind seeing the guys behind X-Men Origins: Wolverine get another shot at a pseudo sequel or comics based Wolverine game.

I'd say both the devil may cry and prince of persia reboots for sure, can't think of any others at the moment.

Alan Wake
Tomb Raider
Sim City
Mega Man

Devil May Cry and Megaman X

Alan Wake since it was one of this generation's best and of course Darksiders

I wish Alpha Protocol would get another shot. Or atleast, something like it. A spy-genre RPG game with Mass Effect-esque dialogue wheels.

Man, I want that to get another chance.

The story is fun and I liked the RPG elements but it has a clunky fighting and shooting system.

The RPG stuff was great, and the conversations and interactions with the characters and different outcomes were great.

I've found that dumping points into the fighting and shooting skills made it....easier to deal with those aspects. It's nowhere near as polished a shooter or action game as I think people wanted.

It saddens me to no end how that game got railroaded. I mean, it got ran over by a tank and then it reversed and ran it over like a dozen more times. I feel like the level of hate and venom spewed at it was unjust.

I want to say it deserves another shot, by proof of concept alone. But, I did enjoy the game myself. I think it's super cheap now, too. So give it a shot if your into RPGs and dialogue wheels, or that Mass Effect style of crafting your own path of story, etc.

resistance
sonic the hedgehog
dizzy
i also wish capcom could do the ultimate and bring a dc versus marvel game out

I don't think you need to worry about Sonic.

BLUR! This is an incredibly UNDERRATED racer. One of the best from this generation

I can't help but think Alan wake is better as a one off. Not all stories should be franchises.

I would love to see more tomb raider though

Luckily another Tomb Raider has been greenlit by Square Enix.

I heard that the last Devil May Cry didn't sell that well though I would like to see them tackle another game from the same team.

Speaking of which, I would add Heavenly Sword to that. Its a shame that game never got a sequel and NT have grown as developers so it would be interesting to see them revisit that. If not, I maintain that Sony Santa Monica would be an awesome choice to resurrect that.

PS All Stars Battle Royale. The game was great but it lacked good presentation and personality. From the outside, it just looked so basic. Simple tweaks like changing the menus and the design could have made for a better experience. Its also a shame that a game called PS All Stars, was missing quite a few of Sony's notable franchises. It relied too heavily on third parties and missed out on the more obvious choices (Solid Snake, Lara Croft for example). It definetly deserves to make a comeback on the PS4 and if given more time, I think they could produce a much better game.

It probably didn't help that it drew so much comparison to Smash Bros for obvious reasons. For a sequel, Id switch things up and instead of fighting on a 2D plane, Id go for an arena style level as seen in Power Stone (which also needs to be revived). The core gameplay mechanic would probably have to change, but change could be good here. They could probably include a mix of 3D arena stages and the 2D ones
