I've played my favorite games way, wayyy too much, and I'm curious if that makes me unique or not.

Resident Evil 4- 14x
God of War- 13x
Spider-Man (PS1)- 8x
God of War II- 6x
Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots- 4x
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence- 3x

There are also games that I'll most likely play a 2nd time eventually, but they took such a time investment, that I just haven't gone back for another helping yet.

GTA Vice City- 30+ hours
GTA San Andreas- 90-100 hours
GTAIV- can't remember, between 70 and 100 I guess
Bully- 30-50 hours

Finally, there is a game that I am playing thru for the 2nd time, where the main villain should really find a job at Barnum and Bailey's:woot:, and since halfway thru I've been forcing myself to finish, when I'd rather play GTAIV, Dead Space, or Bayonetta (which I've owned for several months now, but haven't touched). I didn't think I'd ever have these feelings with a game I loved the first time thru, and haven't played since early January (I try not to play games right after I first beat it, I've only broken this rule with the GOW series)

The challenges, especially the stealth ones, are addictive and keep me coming back, but since I've recently played MGSIV and GOWIII, both the combat and the stealth sequences just seem too bare bones. The stealth gameplay isn't that n00b friendly, but the gargoyles and x-ray vision make it too easy (I do know they're optional, no need to flame). I don't use the x-ray vision anymore though, which makes the game more skill based. Still can't handle Batman leaping 30 ft to kick and enemy across the room, just in the name of fluidity. It breaks the immersion to see Batman imitate a homing missile so consistently. I hope they take that out, but since it wasn't really criticized in the media or by fans, I don't think it will be dealt with. It sucks that Batman has no range with his punches and kicks, hopefully combat depth is at least addressed (that was somewhat criticized iirc), I want a grapple button, not have to wait for a combo string divisible by 5 or 8.

/rant

P.S. Sorry for making this seem like another Batman thread. Just think of it like a question of what game didn't seem as fun the 2nd time because of risen standards?

*Fight Night Round 2

Game that I played a lot that I wish I hadn't? FFVII. I can't even look at that game anymore without feeling sick.

Games I still like that I played more than anything else?

Counter-Strike...dear God, lol. Once I finally got my own PC rig and was able to stop bugging my brother to let me on his, I was on it any time that I wasn't at school, with friends, eating, sleeping, or using the BR. I really got hooked on it, and it didn't help that later in high school me and my friends started having beer and pizza lan parties. Tho those were fun and hilarious.

Oblivion....I'll just say Elder Scrolls V can't come out fast enough. Oblivion just hit some nerve with me, and I was hooked. I played through so many times. In fact playing Dragon Age lately has got me wanting to play Oblivion again. The only thing that holds me back (aside from the same 5 ppl doing 100's of character's with the same monotone voice) is the dreaded knocking over of some vase in a run down hovel and then some guard from the other side of the city running all the way across, me having some instant bounty, and then him shouting, "Stop right there laaaawwww breaker! Now pay the fine!". They seriously need to fix the omnipotent guards in the next installment.

I guess Dragon Age would be on this list too. I have two rogue runs under my belt, and a mage and warrior one under way too. This is probably going to be my second platinum. All I have to do is side with the werewolves, Branka, and then....<shudder> romance Alistair and Zeveran....gonna need a few drinks for that one.

Finally, kinda an iffy one, but RPG maker on PC. I didn't play it a whole lot. However when I first started messing with it, I really got into it. I was making an RPG and kept messing with it until I had a fairly lengthy game made. Then after that I didn't mess with it again until I bought the 3D PS2 version (which I made one game with and didn't mess with after as well, lol).

I played Knight of the Old Republic more than 10 times. And here you might say "Oh, but the different choices in Gender and Morality". Pfft. Mostly the same, Female Lightside, because I can't commit to evil in a game for some reason.

Mario Bros 3. 15x (maybe more i forget lol)

mass effect
KOTOR
KOTOR II
THP8
Assassins creed 2(the first game I ever completed on my 360)
they're are many more that I can't think of at the moment

because I can't commit to evil in a game for some reason.
I have a problem doing that also but forced my self to in ME

I've played Star Fox 64 countless times. But that's a different kinda game. It's more like an arcade game that takes only a couple hours to beat. Still love it.

Banjo-Kazooie 3x (played it 3 times at once; finished my N64 file, beat it on an emulator, and beat it on XBLA all at the same time)
God of War I 3x
Super Mario Galaxy 3x (twice as Mario, once as Luigi)
Goldeneye 2x

I'm sure there are others but I can't think of them.

X-Men Legends 1 and 2....like 7 times each
