Gantz(anime)

I was looking at getting Gantz the anime and was wondering if anyone has seen it and how they liked it. I heard great things but just want another opinion

It's a good anime, but it ends WAY too early in the manga. Basically, you'd be better off hunting for the manga or you'll feel disappointed by the end.

I highly recommend it. If you liked gorey and hardcore animes like Akira and Elfen Lied, you should love this.

Gantz is really good! I was glued to the pages but like its been said it is a bit gory.....but if you read Berserk you can shrug it off.

But it might make you dislike buddha!t:

very graphic and violet

very bleak

goes to great lengths to make you despise the main character, his internal monologue establishes him as the most irredeemably terrible person in the world (which, actually, I found fascinating)

extremely well animated

the plot can move a little slow - for instance, the series deals with people sent on missions to kill what are presumably aliens, but the entire series consists of only 4 missions

as was already pointed out, the animated series ends abruptly and isn't very satisfying. Personally, I enjoyed it, but the abrupt ending irritated me and at some point I hope to read the manga where the story goes on for much much longer

The one thing i have about Yu-Gi-Oh is how the card game which i tried didn't play anything like the show. None of the heart in the cards! After Bleach i plan to watch/read this
