Have any of you taken a shinkansen? Those trains are amazing and the bento box meals they give are awesome. Super comfortable and polite staff.

I sure have, about 8 years ago. It’s incredible. Super smooth, whisper quiet and faster than fox cancels tv shows. An absolute marvel of engineering.

We took quite a few actually. Tokyo to Nagoya, Nagoya to Kyoto and Kyoto to Osaka. Oh and we took a maglev train in Shanghai which is similar
