I will stop short of saying S1 was trash, but I was very disappointed. The only thing that kept me going was that the SAC English voice cast all reprised their roles.

The music was terrible without Yoko Kanno. Her music was like the heart and soul of SAC. The CG did not look very good. If you want PEAK SAC, check out 2nd Gig:

I figured this was canceled. The show won me over, and I've been wanting some new Ghost so this is a nice surprise.

I suspect covid extra ****ed over anime production over in Japan, similar to video game development. And I think the cgi stuff seemed to be extra hard, as we are just now getting Ultraman season 2 as well.
