    With the Afterlife sequel heading into production this year, I figured we needed a new thread.

    Gil Kenan will direct with a script from Gil Kenan & Jason Reitman. The cast of Afterlife will also return.

    The codename is FIREHOUSE.

    Awesome! I've read the rumor title is "Ghostbusters: Hell's Kitchen" and Bill Murray isn't likely to return. That said, Ernie Hudson's Winston Zeddemore and Dan Akkroyd's Ray Stantz will lead a new team of Ghostbusters.

    Even if it were only a month long shoot it's still unrealistic to keep that December date with all the post VFX work that needs to be done. A summer 2024 release seems more likely.

    Yeah no way is this movie releasing this year. Hope that Bill Murray is in it personally even for a cameo, preferably with Sigourney involved a bit more also.

    they spent way to much time developing those characters not to have them return in some way... there has to be a pay off
