I felt really bad for both Luke and Lorelai, but clearly they both have some maturing and growing up to do when it comes to relationships. Because neither of them are very open or sharing - and I can understand why Lorelai decided to end it and turned to Chris. It'd irritate me too if I felt like everything had to always happen on my boyfriend's terms on his timetable (I just hate the long lost daughter storyline tons. ugh.)

I too hate the storyline of Luke having a long lost whiz kid daughter. I dig Sherilyn Fenn as the kid's daughter, but the whole storyline is just so lame and such an obvious plot device to keep Luke & Lorelai from getting married that it's just plain annoying.

I also couldnt stand Rory's obsessive need to go to London *right then*. Her boyfriend had been gone, like, what, a day?

Maybe that'll make it funnier when she's dump his sorry ass.

However, for the first ep without the Palladinos, it still *felt* like Gilmore Girls, which is important. And Paris has somehow gotten even more awesome.

You can never go wrong with Paris. Hard to believe Liza Weil could have been Rory...

man for us the L/L shippers this season is lookig hard to watch but guess that what is meant to be cant be easily get appart, sure lorelai is a little ***** sometimes but i guess she will learn with this one (or at least i hope) i think that luke will take her back just because we are spoiled fans and we always get what we want. and im happy is that way. about rory god it looks like she is going backwards with every single episode, and that is depresing.. im glad dave could poll just fine the premier hope he keeps it that way, you barely miss the Ps.

Absolutely ageed. I hate that all TV shows seem to think that it's impossible to write a happy couple, so at all costs, they must dredge up some kind of drama, no matter how supremely unrealistic, to force them to be apart for a while.

In what I'm assuming is going to be the last season of the show would it have killed them to throw the fans a bone, you know? And I'm sure that somewhere, given that Luke and Lorelai are both, you know, interesting characters they could have come up with some kind of plotline for them that didn't involve the tired, breakup, will the ever get back together, omg! plot. All they've really done with it is to make kind of not really care anymore if L&L reunite or not - they are kind of both so distasteful right now that it would almost not bother me if they didn't.

That's kind of how I felt when the writers of That 70s Show decided not to let Eric & Donna marry at the end of season 6. Apparently they felt the idea of examining Eric & Donna struggling with the first year of marriage would not make for good storytelling in season 7. Of course, after season 6, seasons 7 and 8 were nothing but crap.

Yeah, Luke & Lorelai have been screwed. I'm actually more interested in seeing Anna again and seeing how the breakup form Lorelai might ripple over and effect Luke's relationship with April, and I don't even like April.

I'd like to see Luke almost moveon nd Loralie be the one who inda is hung up. Sure Luke made some mistakes but he is cranky Luke nothing else. Chris always ruins things and Rorys says this all the time to her mother.

Loralie should be with Luke but she needs to see how she messed things up and how she needs to picture her life without Luke for there is no going to Luke the fixit man when he has a closed door to her.

and the fact that kirk now has a kirk's is a good thing at least for lorelai, now she wont starved!

you know i spent all summer on lorelai's side.. then last week i change side because the 1000 time lorelai said "I slept with christopher last night!" make her sound so ****y and no even feeling as guilty as she should be... but last night.. man luke was an idiot so im on Lorelai's side (again)

lets see... they took 87 episodes to get together... they stay like that 13 episodes broke up and spent 3 episodes apart.. then it was already like 19 where the relationship was in a good place then April came alone and screw it all and before the "we are together, but not really" that last 12 episodes... so yeah we have like 87 waiting for them and only like 32 or so together... i think we deserved a happy ending!!

no, you are not alone i hate him last night, i feel very sorry for lorelai eventhough she is not inocent at all. i think we will have to wait around the winter hiatus or so to have a good season...

seen how DR said, that around that time we'll know with who is Lorelai staying and by reading that in 7.04 she has a relationship with christopher but not to into it makes me believe that like the last 100 times she hooked up with him it wont work out!
