Babel is good but not so good. I prefer The Departed.

Babel is very strong and well filmed drama, while The Departed is a bloody crime thriller.

Honestly, I won't be sureprised, if Babel gets The Best Movie Oscar Award. Thrillers very rarely get the main awards, while such movies as Babel are exactly what academy like.

Still, I hope Scorsese will finally win in The Best Director award, he deserves it.
