Gone Too Soon

Tru Calling. There was so much they had planned that they never got to do and it all sounded amazing.

I forgot to add Better Off Ted to my list. Such a funny and well written show. Another great show killed by an inept network.

Wonderfalls, thankfully it was put on DVD. Amazing, amazing show that exceeded my expectations when I watched it last year.

The Lone Gunmen, good while it lasted. Move to Fridays killed it as it did well enough on Sundays.

I wouldn't put Arrested Development on this list, 53 episodes is a decent amount. It would've been great if they had the back nine order for their third season. It did get a 2 hour finale though on a Friday against the Torino Games Opening Ceremony.

Help Me, Help You
Little known Ted Danson single camera comedy on ABC that lasted nine episodes in 2006. Had potential and was the first ABC show in years that I actually watched.

did any one rember mutant x? it was from the creators of x-men. they had girl like wolvrien then they had guy who was psych hewast their leader but wasns't in wheel chair. i seen sosme on dvd at use book store but they wont10 bucks for two or four epsideos. does any one know if the seaons is out to buy?

"Freaks&Geeks", "Quantum Leap", "The Flash", "Angel" and "Eli Stone" are a few i can think of right now. I would also wouldn't mind seen a 3rd season For TTSCC(Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

Quantum Leap actually had a really good run, and the show wrapped up with a series finale, so I wouldn't say it's "gone too soon". I think they could have gone for another season or two, but it wasn't absolutely necessary.

Jake 2.0 and The Bionic Woman on the other hand didn't get a chance to shine.

I will agree with you on The Sara Connor Chronicles though.

The truth is i think most of the 4th and 5th season of QL wasn't as good as the first 3, but i really didn't like the way they wrapped up the Finale, so i hope it would have got a 6th season or at least get a movie/Mini series(which might still be possible) to wrap things up better. Hey a new QL series(QL: the next generation) would be nice, too .

BTW i just thought about two more TV serieses - " Mann & Machine " and "Mortal Kombat Conquest". Anyone here ever watched those shows?

The only ones that come to mind are:

Alien Nation -
I Completely fell in love with all the characters of the show and still consider it to be one of the best Sci-fi shows i've seen. But it ended in a cliffhanger. Even though it was continued on made for TV movies, it still should've continued.

Strangers with Candy-
Brilliant show. Just.....pure genius....

Kolchak The Nightstalker-
Darren McGavin really captured the character of Kolchak. Great show that only lasted 20 something episodes.

Ditto on Kolchak

G(ood) vs E(vil)

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The two that stand out to me are "Freaks and Geeks" and "Arrested Development". At least "Arrested Development" did have somewhat of a decent run, though.

Terriers
Terriers

a million times Terriers.

Literally my favorite show this season. And now it's gone.

THE DEAD ZONE (I accepted that they ended the 6th Season somewhat open-ended though. At least Johnny got a happy ending compared to his fate in the book. Anthony Michael Hall's portrayal of Johnny was so likable that I would have cried seeing him die at the end).
Journeyman
Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles
He-Man & the Masters of the Universe (2002)
The Spectacular Spider-Man
Wolverine and the X-Men
Flash Forward

There are others. I'll be back! ;)

what did they plan to do?

Just mainly a whole bunch of stuff around the mythology. The whole reason why the dead would ask for her help would've been because when people die, a force would ask them whether they feel their life was complete. If they say yes, they pass on. If they say no, that's when they ask for Tru's help, she lives the day over again and then tries to save them. When she saved her boyfriend, even though he hadn't asked for her help, something obviously went wrong. His soul passed on because he felt his life was complete, but he lived on anyway, without a soul. As the season went on, he would've become even more warped and I think I read he would've murdered his father and Tru eventually would've let him die. It's a shame FOX couldn't have just let them have a full second season.

One more... "Joan of Arcadia".
Maybe i should write one post with all of my list. We'll see...

Way too many cartoons have not survived so I will stick with live action...

1.The Sarah Connor Chronicles - loved it, can't believe it did not get renewed

2. Life - Really cool detective show with out being a boring/dry detective show

3. Invasion - got a little silly in the end but loved most of season 1

4. Bionic Woman - enjoyed it and thought some things were well done, needed to be a blonde lead though

5. Jericho - my wife and I watched Season 1 when Univ ran a marathon couple years ago. Loved it and watched season 2. Thought it ended too quickly. Great casting IMO. UNIV still runs the marathon every so often. Gonna watch it again sometime. Really great suspense.

I wish Blade: The Series could have gotten a second season. Shows that get canceled after one season always tend to become great as the season ends.

Police Squad: Only lasted 5 episodes, yet spawned 3 very successful movies (The Naked Gun)

The Master: I would have liked to see Lee Van Cleef's character finally find his long lost daughter.

Farscape: Totally should have had one more full season. They did a made for TV movie to tie things up, but it just seemed extremely rushed.

He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe (2002): There was just so much untouched potential in that series, it really needed to go for its full 5 season run.

Fastlane. Push, Nevada. MTV's Spider-Man (**** you MTV for showing the episodes in the wrong order to start things off with)

The second season was crap, character assassination was rampant. But it's still a good show overall, and I agree it needed another season.

Arrested Development

Thundarr The Barbarian

Conan The Adventurer (The Animated Series)

Sledge Hammer

Blade: The Series

The Flash
Here's one I forgot, He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe (2002).
Brimstone.
Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron
G(ood) vs E(vil)

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.
The Spectacular Spider-Man
Wolverine and the X-Men
Ditto on all these. & WildC.A.Ts & Spawn & UPN's "The Watcher", & Transformers: Beast Wars(NOT Beast Machines) & Gargoyles & Ultraforce.

Jericho - Awesome show... hated how it ended the first season... then finding out it had been canned... and while i loved that they actually gave the series an ending of sorts... shame they killed who they did :(

FlashForward - When it was on the ball it was damn good...

Stargate Universe - Yea, it wasn't perfect... and it may have been too different to SG-1/SG:A for a lot of fans to deal with. Plus the whole announcement linked with the cancellation of SG:A didn't help by turning a vocal section of people against the show.... But it was a good series and could have easily run for the desired 5 seasons... if Syfy hadn't helped kill it by the timeslot change... FOR WRESTLING!:cmad:

Drive - it only had three episodes... but i thought it had potential... though seeing as Castle is now around.... it was a good thing that the show was killed as a baby...

Firefly - Obvious reasons.... the show had much potential...
