Im looking to get a few good Poison Ivy and/ or Catwoman stories. Preferably the characters in ''solo'' mode, but if not, thats alright.
I know of a few Catwoman stories already like When in rome, Selinas big score etc, but im just looking for more. I really do want some good Ivy stories though.

Isn't there an Ivy story where she teams up with Harley Quinn?

I know there was a mini series based off of TAS...

Hothouse: Collections Legends of the Dark Knight tpb - a two-parter that tells how Ivy finds her way back into crime while recovering from her very first "breakdown" and first encounter with Batman. She's still a half normal academic researcher at this stage.

No Mans Land vol.3 - she takes up in Robinson Park, fights Clayface, protects children etc. Awesome artwork.

Ivy & Harley tpb - four self-contained cartoony adventures by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, along with a short Black&White, it's pretty good if you like that kind of thing. Funny and whacked out and not as bad as you might think really. There's also a painted story written by Judd Winnick but that's kinda lame

Poison Ivy Cast Shadows: if you see this you'll probably wonder what it's about. Ivy convinces everyone that she's 'reformed' in Arkham, she's creating all these miracle plants and then she helps batman solve a case. A good character piece but probably only worth buying if you really love the character. Great art. no appearances from other bat-characters

Black Orchid tpb - Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean, you can't go wrong. Ivy is only on about four pages but it's one of her best portrayals and the whole story is about plant hybrids including appearances from Swamp Thing and Batman

these are really the best you can get in tpb. There's also Batman & Green Arrow The Poison Tomorrow (1990), and Batman:Poison Ivy, but these are very tough to find. The Poison Ivy tpb is a 1997 book that doesn't tie into Batman & Robin at all even though it was released concurrently. It's about Ivy trying to create a quiet little paradise in the Caribbean populated by her own creatures. Of course it gets firebombed.

Thanks! And yes, I love the character very much so Ill be looking out for that Poison Ivy Cast Shadows book.

Alan Grant wrote a Poison Ivy story that retold Ivy's first meeting with Batman in a much better way than the story she debuted in in the 60's, where she's competing with three lame ass female villains.

I think it was in one of the Batman Annuals. It was fantastic.

My pleasure Batboy. Single issues to look for are

Batman 367 and Detective 534 - great art, Jason Todd, a classic old school Ivy story.
Shadow of the Bat 56-58 - Robin thinks smoking weed is bad. Floronic man is a stoned decapitated head.
Gotham Knights 61-65 - this is a diabolical arc, be warned, but its got an interesting idea nonetheless. Ivy wants to cure herself - with Hush's help.
Gotham Central 32 - one of Ivy's park girls runs into some ******** crooked cops.
Secret Origins 36

the last one is a Neil Gaiman origin and one of the best single Ivy stories there is. Gaiman was a huge leap for Ivy I think. He was the first to take her beyond a generic villainess/temptress and introduced elements that everyone else ran with.

Shadow of the Bat Annual 03 and it's also collected in Four of A Kind

I love that those lame ass villains appeared in Batman & Son :funny:

I can't believe no one's mentioned Brubaker's "Catwoman." For shame.

When in Rome and Hush are great for Catwoman. For Poison Ivy all I can think of is Face the Face and she's only in the beginning.

For sooth! Catwoman #1-4 (Cooke and Brubaker). If you get one arc from that title, make it the first one.

Selina's Big Score is a nice one shot too.

oops :O. The "pop art" villains from Ivy's first appearance actually appear in Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul
