Good chairs for gaming

Hi all,

I want to get a decent chair for gaming but also since I’m working from home at the moment it would really help my back. Do you have any recommendations? Price and easiness to put together are big factors for me

Wouldn't waste your money, I think those 'gaming' chairs are an overpriced gimmick.

I sat on a few of those 'gaming chairs' in a furniture store the last time I changed my chair for my desk & even just briefly sitting in a couple of them I thought they all seemed very rigid & thinly padded.. they didn't seem like something I'd personally want to sit in for hours.

Get yourself a big comfy executive chair

I realise given what's going on in the world currently it's going to be incredibly difficult, but if you can try & go somewhere & try out the seat you're getting before you buy it.

Get a bean bag!

Though if you need something for your back to lean on then just get those comfy leather chairs, the ones you'd see in private hospitals.

I agree with @B. Why the hell would gaming chairs look like racing car seats? Also, the seat usually has hard padding and that stupid neck pillow doesn't seem to do anything other than to protrude your head in uncomfortable ways. Gaming chairs come in (faux) leather or cloth so the back is not breathable and if you're in a long gaming session, you'll be sweating in your chair.

If you're going to spend a couple hundred dollars on a chair, might as well invest into a good ergonomic/office chair. If you have the money, you can get a high-end chair like a Herman Miller or a Steelcase (buy second hand if you can't afford the premium price).

With COVID, I've been working from home since March and since I play on PC I can easily spend 10+ hours a day at my desk. I got the ErgoChair 2 few months ago and never looked back.

that's true. I found a few nice chairs on Amazon for sale recently but most of all I like power lift recliners. I found reviews on thebestreclinersreviews and decided to buy one too. They look so comfortable, luckily there is quick deliver on Amazon.

I never sit down when gaming. Just as well given how many hours I used to put into it (and intend to put into it in future).
