and the $600 dollars thing is also kinda worrysome... I know I won't be getting one at launch... I did that with my PS2 and got a faulty unit...

2007 for me as well, that's the year that all the franchise games are coming out + all the strong PS2 releases in 2007 + Strong PS3 initial releases.
