I'm reading that not much will change except for some improved search functions for awhile. I think Google is trying to figure out how to keep their own video repository site separate (which they've said they intend to do) without having the purpose of the two sites conflict too much. But, Google has already said they want Youtube to just be Youtube, and that they have something in mind to make it a viable revenue commodity from ads (which is where the Youtube creators and previous owners fell short).
