Google snaps up YouTube for $1.65B

They're going to now call it Gootube. And then expand into the arena of beverages with Goo Punch.

I THINK THAT THEY WILL EVENTUALLY GET RID OF GOOGLE VIDEO AND JUST KEEP YOU TUBE MOSTLY THE SAME LIKE YOU SAID. :o

Personally, I think they'll eventually find two separate purposes for the two sites. One will have one type of video content and the other will have something different. And seriously, WTF is with this THWIP* Junior crap, lately? It's worrisome.

BECAUSE UNLIKE GOOGLE'S OTHER PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, GOOGLE VIDEO SUCKS AND HAS BEEN EASILY DEFEATED BY YOU TUBE. SO INSTEAD OF JUST GOING WITH YOUR INFERIOR PRODUCT AND HAVING A S**TLOAD OF CASH JUST WAITING TO BE SPENT FOR SOMETHING, JUST GO AND BUY THE BEST COMPETITOR.

MAKES SENSE RIGHT :yay:

I have never been to "myspace" but am an avid watcher of "youtube". Youtube has been featured in a number of different news stories... I don't know if the same can be said of "myspace".

YouTube only has a limited lifespan at this point...

The Copyright infringements abound on there...its only time before they get smacked.

so how much does everyone think they two founders actually made on this deal? The site cost a fortune to run, so it seems to me like it was the venture capitalists who bankrolled them who probably made off with the most in this deal. anyone know?
