Taco Bell being sued for not using beef, but "beef-like product"

Taco Bell is nasty....nasty......nasty. Goat meat all the way at my neighborhood Mexican Restaurant and bar.

I like tacos de lengua.

I know a lot of people may not like the sound of cow tongue but it's very flavorful meat and it's really tender & juicy. It just melts in your mouth.

Hey, I live where the best tongue and pigs feet are made....nobody does it better than Little Mexico in Houston....

Menudo and corn bread can't be beat...

Well, when compared to Taco Cabana, yeah! Try Fajita Flats over on Fondren off of Westheimer. Awesome food!

I used to love Loma Linda's when I lived in the Houston-area. My step sister lived in South Houston and whenever we went to pick her up, we'd stop there to eat.

Spanish Flower is the best IMO, but not near as good as Paloma Blanca in San Antonio....or dear lord, there food is wonderful. Jovita's in Austin is excellent as well....

At Taco Bell, we buy our beef from the same trusted brands you find in the supermarket, like Tyson Foods. We start with 100 percent USDA-inspected beef. Then we process the hell out of it.
It's kinda like the KFC chicken arguement really. They have real chicken then just pump it full of ****.

:woot:

Hmm, I never ate there. The only Mexican restaurants I ate at in Houston were Loma Linda's and El Palenque.

Don Juan's here in Tyler is surprisingly good and authentic Mexican food for a town like Tyler.

I knew it! :funny:

If it weren't for my hooorse, I'd have never made it through college.

Nice! Lewis Black!

An interesting note though. Apparently Taco Bell uses horse meat as there meat. At least that is what I have heard all these years.

So yes if for his horse....

I wonder if we'd have made it through college w/o Cheesy Gordita Crunches for sustenance.

I don't care if its real cheese. I don't care if its a real gordita shell. If i'm black out drunk, I don't even care if it crunches.

You do realise "gordita" means "little fat woman" in spanish rigth? The ones in Queretaro are delicious, the gorditas, not the chubby ladies...

si, en high school el portero de la escuela siempre me llama "Gordito". jaja
:o

Apparently high priced lawyers CAN'T get "hooker meat" to cut it as a "Beef-like product"...

Now with 15% more Holyfield's earlobe..

****ing hell people, stop suing over the stupidest things.

In all fairness, the person suing isn't seeking for monetary damages, only demanding that Taco Bell be forthcoming in what goes into their tacos. If they really are using fillers to make their beef supply go further, thus increasing profits, I think that we, the customers have a right to know. Taco Bell's website has a list of ingredients for their seasoned beef that does not list any fillers, but if there is something in there other than what's on that list we'll find out what it is soon enough.

I like some Taco Cabanas....the one by me sucks....

I've heard of Fajita Flats.....I might just try that out...I'm going to be near the Galleria this weekend...

I love Taco Buenos, but we don't have those in Houston, so I have to wait until I go home to Plano on holidays....

Anybody else remember those big-ass "On The Border" crunchy tacos from the 90s? I LOVED those. Too bad they only had them for like, what? A year maybe? And never brought them back as far as I know... I guess cheap Taco Bell, who can be pretty bad about filling tacos mostly with lettuce, decided the big shelled, filled-to-the-brim-with-meat tacos costs too much to make or something.

Taco Bell isn't supposed to be authentic Mexican food. It's more like a commercialized Tex-Mex. It is what it is.

Some On The Borders yes, but I like Chuy's better....they are more consistent in their management and food quality than On The Borders...

No no no...Not the chain, "On The Border"...back in the mid 90s Taco Bell had a TACO called the On The Border Taco.
