Google's very own web browser...meet Chrome

People still use Internet Explorer? Firefox is the way, but I may check this Chrome thing out.

That's a god awful name. It's the Zune of web browsers.

They call it Chrome.

I call it "Faster than Firefox"

Seriously, this thing SCREAMS speed.

Chrome is very fast. Just downloaded it, it handles some flash objects terribly though, but for a beta, it's a very fast simple browser.

Yeah, this'll be a secondary browser for me. It's compact and simple, but that's also the downfall of it. Can't really compare to FF as of now.

Heard about Chrome on the radio this morning driving to work. I really like Opera, but I can't wait to try out Google's browser.

I've gone back to using IE since it's started using tabs. I was using both prior to that because I liked the tabs and stability of Firefox but so many work related sites run only with IE. Having IE with the tabs is worth the occasional lock-ups than going back and forth between browsers for me.

You should definitely try out Chrome then. It's easy to adapt for new users, and no one should be using IE in this day and age. Way too many stable, faster, and safer alternative browsers to choose from.

And while earlier I stated that this browser seems to be pretty simple, it's actually working a whole lot under the hood. Check out what's different:

Most people won't know what half these things do, but it's certainly a good read for tech users. This browser has some great potential.

The boards seem to be faster for me on Chrome so far.

Interface isn't my favorite in the world, and it doesn't seem like you can customize it, but it's pretty fast. It seems like it would be perfect for any kind of terminal or library computer, it's easy to use and the toolbar takes up very little screen space.

I'm using it right now. I like it. Kinda plain, but fast.

I'm liking it quite a lot. It has some flaws and it'll take some getting used to but I think overall it's really good.

Google's already said that it'll have various add-ons like Firefox once it spreads out some and people get to using it more. Considering it's beta, I think they've already got a heck of a product.

It's worth trying out. If you have a browser set to auto-startup when you turn on your computer, it's great. FF would take a minute or so get running (along with the other programs). Chrome is running before XP can even connect to my network. And for me, that's excellent.

Of course, soo many beta problems....at least you can report them easily so they'll get fixed.

Since we are talking browsers, allow me to speak from a web designer point of view when I say that IE is the worst ****ing thing to ever happen to the Internet. That browser is so far behind in terms of web standards and gives so many designers head aches it isn't even funny.

I have two ways to design my site. The first is to code my site so it will work in browsers, the second is to hack it and re code it to work in IE.

I'm about to try chrome out and see what it is like though, but i'm sure google has their heads on right.

Eh, Chrome is alright. It'll take me some getting use to.

Apparently it works (or will once it's all done) off the same standards as Safari, so it shouldn't be too bad for web compliance.

Not for Mac yet? Guess I'll continue using Safari. .

Got two friends who think its terrible, personally I think its ugly as hell so I'll stick with Firefox for now.
