This really sucks. It becomes a lot more difficult for kids to ostracize the obese and sickly when there are no chase games involved. We can only expect them to be so creative.

As a parent, I can understand not wanting your kids to get hurt. But this is a severe case of OVER-PARENTING. If you never let your kids get hurt, they won't know how to handle it when the real world knocks them flat on their asses!!!!! The biggest problem with making a child's school years softer is that their adult years are getting harder!! Kid's need to learn how to take the good with the bad so they can be better prepared for REAL LIFE!!!

I don't know how in the hell we survived so long. We played tag on on asphalt playground, yeah we might've fell down and skinned our knees but so what?
You pick yourself back up and go on. Part of growing up is skinned knees, sprained ankles, black eyes. No child left behind is BS.

First we had kiss tag, then we went onto TV tag, then normal tag, then red rover, then harry potter, then x-men, then freeze tag then touch (US) football, tackle (US) football then the greatest sport of all!!!!!!!!!!! FOOTBALL!!!!! (by that I mean "soccer" to the Americans) I still play soccer and I love to do it!

Well, I myself did a happy-dance when a bully I went to school will got himself killed while driving drunk. But the banning of tag is a bit much.

Heh, I've actually been knocked unconscious by some tag game in school one time. I got hit so hard I like, flipped backward and I was out for a few minutes.

This is silly, though. I pity all these young kids of today, they dont' seem to be allowed to do anything. Except, maybe sit inside and watch tv.
