I'd say a sequel should have John and Guy be chosen while establishing Ganthet splitering away from the Guardian's philosophies and the last scene would be Ganthet finding Kyle in an alley

At this point should they even make a sequel to Green Lantern? It didn't do well with critics, didn't do well with the general audience and barely made back its production. I don't think the movie was Batman and Robin level bad, it will not live in infamy, it will likely be almost completely forgotten in 10 years, so you reboot the series in a decade and almost no one will remember the first movie.

At this point I am wondering if they shouldn't watch till the new JLA movie comes out and try to spin a new GL movie out of that. I am beginning to think it was mistake to do GL before Flash and Wonder Woman, mainly because Flash and Wonder Woman have straight forward powers and don't have a supporting cast filled with exotic looking aliens that are expensive to realize in live action. Despite a 200 million dollar budget the GL movie didn't look very good, I almost wonder if it have been better to wait a few more years, for special effects technology to improve and make a better looking GL film for less money, while focusing on more straight forward heroes in the mean time.

I really want to see them make good on the promise of a Yellow Lantern Sinestro.Mark Strong was so good.It would be such a waste to not follow it up.A sequel is all set to be of WOK/ESB quality.It doesn't look like WB has any intentions beyond JL for the near future.

Would love to see Kyle take the spotlight, thatd be a good way of not using Hal. Have appearances from Hal, but make the focus be on Kyle, you can still have Sinestro as the main villain.

I think Flash needs some sort of introduction of his own in the world film, people need to get to know the character before you have him share the spot light with another big time hero. There is no reason for the general audience to care about a Flash GL team up, if Flash has not been properly set up in his own film.

The studio's silence speaks volumes. Since we got the word that GL2 would be "edgier" or possibly a reboot, there has been nothing. That tells the tale, I think.

Well, we know they originally had a GREEN LANTERN 2 script written. Doesn't mean the movie will happen. Doesn't sound bad, like a nice mix of the more classic and modern Sinestro stories.

Maybe they can actually make a real costume for Ryan Reynolds to wear, I know the ring itself is what gives Hal the costume but it's more believable for the actor to wear some clothes and not be all luminescent and sparkly.

I really hope a GL2 happens, first movie wasnt that bad in my eyes, but that script sounds like it would be VERY expensive, and I doubt WB are ready to pour another $200 million into it.

IF a sequel happens, I imagine the budget would lower than the first movies one was.

Please please please let that be true. Green Lantern 2 is a dusk worth taking but it HAS to be good, the first film was a let down but it was nowhere near as bad as some people have said, it actually didn't have any major problems like Batman & Robin or Superman Returns did. It's pretty much just a straight up rigid film and a sequel could fix any problems. They need to stick with the cast and just make a GREAT film, people will come if its marketed right, also (obviously depending if its good or not) let critics see it early and use the good reviews in the a relying. It can be doe and should be cheaper 2nd time round (things like the CGI for OA is already done and can be reused).

I am skeptical (Kevin Michael Richardson taking over as Kilowog when he voices him on the cartoon sounds too gold to be true) whether or not its true but I really hope it is.
