Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters

The big problem I see with this game, is how do you translate the fact that a Lantern Ring is supposed to create anything the user imagines. I mean, how do you give a player that capability? You... can't. They can't possibly program every single possible object, movement, imaginary creature, etc that a person could dream up to hit a super-villain with.

I mean, let's say I wanted to be cross universal and imagine Wolverines claws in giant and green glowey form? Am I gonna get it?

The synopsis says the player will have about a dozen constructs at the start, and may be able to unlock more.

Well that's nice to hear. I wonder how many is the cap. Hopefully 30...I know that sounds like alot, but if you can start out the game with 12, 30 doesn't seem so much of a stretch.

As far as blocking goes, some sort of huge abstact would be fun to choose from. Hopefully you can unlock different block/shields, and not just limit the game to just one.

How many constructs did MK vs. DCU have?

From what I remember, like 3? I think. I remember the fist and the hammer. There could be more, but I only fought with him once.

Even doing the constructs like that could make room for the more variations. Low hit. A jab. Strong punch. Counter move.

They could go the Borderlands route and have like a million different options by combining various powerups and whatever. I suspect they may do something where Hal has like a "willpower meter" or some **** that whenever it gets to a certain point he can unlock and use more complex and creative constructs.

If they were to go that route, I'd hope we could use a few more than just 4 at any given time. Maybe certain combos could be a way to use the other constructs. But, I know I would certainly want the option to switch out my different powerups at any given time, and not just at the beginning/end of missions.

I'm kinda curious to know how often you'll have to recharge the ring, and if you'll have a Lantern on you at all times, or if they place them throughout levels.

Flying is another power I'd like to see used all the time, without it having to be replaced in a slot for another powerup. I know they don't want to focus alot on the flying. But it's something I hope they incorporate into the game at some point if it's not a full time thing.

I was actually kinda excited for untill I read the bit about G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra:barf:
