Green Lantern: The Animated Series

I am looking forward to Young Justice and Green Lantern The Animated Series more than the new animated Beware The Batman.

Why Cartoon Network are starting the BTB now ?

For Beware The Batman, I imagine CN will do the typical...

- Panel at Comic-Con... with footage or pilot shown
- 1 hour ''sneek peak'' around November.
- Full series premiere Spring 2013

The worrying thing is that CN could burn through Green Lantern and Young Justice from this Fall. Both shows have only 13 episodes left.

I'm looking forward to more Green Lantern but "Beware The Batman" not so much. We've been to Gotham so many times that it feels like there are no new surprises left to be had there. Batman and his 'bat-family' are starting to feel like those guys who show up at a party uninvited and then refuse to leave when the party's over.

Young Justice... that show is so frustrating that I'm not sure I even want a third season.

I'm not sure what you find frustrating about it? Perhaps you could elaborate.

I personally am still on the fence of Beware the Batman.

It could be good, or it might be bad.

I think he meant Young Justice, that was the one you called frustrating.

Oh. Well, as pretty as the animation is and as well cast as most (not all but most) of the voice actors are I often find myself not really caring about its characters, more than a few of whom still feel under-developed, and the two characters who have been designated as the leads (Superboy & Ms. Martian) just aren't all that interesting.

Batman is the most popular character DC has right now. If you notice the trend over the past 10 years or so, they have been running a animated Batman series in between Batman films and then ending the series once a film releases. That tells me that they want to maintain the characters popularity and brand awareness.

Yeah... Batman has been WB/DC's BIG money maker for nearly 25 years now. Only stumbling a bit in the early 2000's.

He is always going to have something on the go. And personally hes the only character I really invest in. I enjoy Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-man etc... but I could do without them.

Do we have any clue when Season 2 of Green Lantern will air?

And it's really pathetic that DC & WB can't build successful franchises around anyone who isn't him.

I honestly can't invest in him anymore. Overexposure has taken the thrill out of him. I'm more interested in seeing how Bane and Catwoman are handled in TDKR than I am in the end of Batman's 'journey'.

Was homecomming the finale?

That's awesome any nuggets on the story for season 2, possibly Sinestro or Legion maybe?

I understand that they will bring in the Manhunters in the Fall. My concern about Sinestro is what he can do to top the Red Lanterns.

He has more dimensions than Atrocitus. Plus I want to see Killowag drop a huge ****ing boat on Arkillo.

The producer said on Twitter that they have a collection of footage for Comic-Con that shows the villain.

So am I as Batman is way more overexposed than Superman.

Im upset that Superman is not getting any new TV series for the past ten years. When Batman just has new tb series once the previous one ends.

Also, Batman has not one, not two but like 5 hit video games and I cant even remember the last Superman game I played.

Also yeah I do hope GL gets renewed for a second season. It is one of my favourite animated series of all time.

Well, Superman had "Smallville" for like 10 years, controversial as that show was, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're batting around a new animated series for him to go hand in hand with next year's "Man of Steel", which will probably have a video game tie in as well.

Batman gets more shows than Supes because he's more interesting & popular than Supes is. That lameass Supes & the Legion show was over 10 years ago?

Come on now. Batman has his flaws, but he's the best DC icon out there. His last movie was great too.
