would anybody like to see the orignal gunbarrell scene return in the next movie? Not like it was in casino royale even though i thought it was a nice change for it being his first mission. But i would like to she it go back to the way it was before with the movie opening with the gunbarrell. Thoughts anyone?

I think it will have to change, because it is not long enough to be at the start of the film, and doesn't begin with the little white dots moving across the screen.

I have this gut feeling that they're going to construct a new permanent gunbarrel fixture with this movie.

I hope they return back to the original Gunbarrel. It was understandable why it wasn't used in CR, as Bond wasn't a double O until after he killed the guy in the bathroom, thus the reason why it kicked in once he made that second kill.

Besides if they try to have all the Bond movies from now on have a gunbarrel kick in right before the main title credits start, it would mean that every pre-title sequence would have to end with Bond shooting towards the camera, which would get stale after a while.

The one thing i do hope they keep from Casino Royale, is the black and white pre-credit action sequence. I though that was cool.

It’s pretty much a given that they’re gonna redesign the gunbarrel to some degree. I just hope that the new design doesn’t stray too far from the classic look. The Bond gunbarrel is just one of those classic trademarks that isn’t in need of excessive tampering.

i agree with you totally. It is something that shouldn't be messed with since it is a classic.

If you watch the trailer for Tomorrow Never Dies, you can see that they planned on giving Brosnan a new gunbarrel sequenece.
