Almost made it throughout the day without a shooting incident on the Columbine Anniversary.

Gunman opened fire at NASA building, police say
POSTED: 4:42 p.m. EDT, April 20, 2007

HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) -- NASA evacuated a building at the Johnson Space Center in Houston after an employee with a gun was seen and a shot was fired, a NASA spokesman said Friday.

A SWAT team with the Houston Police has been dispatched to building 44 on the Johnson Space Center property, a source told CNN. Building 44 holds a laboratory.

The call for help came in to the Houston Police at 1:40 p.m. (2:40 p.m. ET) but it's unclear who made that call.

NASA spokesman James Hartfield said all of the employees that would have been in that building have been evacuated.

There is "extremely tight security" at Johnson Space Center, Hartfield said.

A NASA spokesperson told CNN that all employees have been told to go home for the day.

Space Center Intermediate School, less than a mile south of building 44, has been locked down, said Karen Permetti, spokeswoman for Clear Creek Independent School District.

She said the school lets out at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET) and parents have been asked not to come to the school to pick up their children.

The school has about 1,200 students, according to the school district.

It's not really a big deal, actually.
Houston police is everywhere. Everyone in the building is evacuated. The shooter did this because he is crazy and wanted to do some crazy shyit on the Columbine anniversary. If he doesn't kill himself, then he is going to get locked up for a while.

This is going to get to the point where this day is the safest day 'cause no self-respecting murderer wants to be a band wagoneer and the authorities'll probably end up making it a National Day of Curfew or something.

:whatever:
What a stupid dork.
Attention dweebs and little cryboy p***ies.....you don't get to sit around and gloat and drink in the tears after you're dead, so just end your pain, and end OUR pain and just kill yourself first, Mmmkay?
:whatever:

Maybe if all the employees in the building has pistols, this whole situation could have been avoided with a shootout.

Guns, yay.

The world is turning into a John Woo film. I mean early 90's John Woo, not sucky John Woo.

My wife has a theory that these kinds of shootings come in spurts. I am almost convinced she is correct.

However I believe these kinds of shootings are common except every now and then one is big enough that it gets covered in national news, then every subsequent shootings in the next few weeks makes national. Just a thought.

None of it's in slo-mo, b****es. :down

That's probably the best argument against those who think these kids were cinematically influenced. If it were true, they'd be moving around at a snail's pace and making wooshing noises as they shot these places up.
