That's harsh to say, but its true.
A lot of the people who do it aren't going through anything worse then the average person does on a daily basis(of course there are lots of exceptions), and what sets them apart is they want people to baby them. They don't want to be in control of their own life, they want others to love them more then they love themselves, to take all the pressure of life from them... And as I said, most have their own problems.

I remember one of my early relationships with this girl... Everytime she got upset she'd threaten suicide with pills, everytime I didn't tip toe around her emotions she'd do the same... I said **** that and left after less then a month... Threatened major suicide that time and didn't either.

Oh **** was that creepy! It was really interesting to watch the process he went through to psyche himself out for his final moment... Everything about it was very surreal, the Bjork music playing certainly contributing to it.

Anyone who is mentally and/or emotionally anguished enough to be considering suicide deserves some help and at least a small modicum of serious regard if not at least a bit of empathy. Mocking someone because they killed themselves makes you no less pathetic than anyone who would take their own life; it puts you on the same level if not worse. Egging them on, like so many in those forums did with this kid, is even more despicable and disgusting. Particularly since they preyed upon someone who was already unstable and filled with despair and very low self-esteem. It's not funny in any way, nor is it admirable to mock him and call him weak for taking his own life. Grow up.

Suicide is basically someone saying "oh no life is too hard, it's so unfair, I can't go on so i won't try my hardest and top myself".

No it elicits no sympathy from me. You know why? Because i have seen the pain it causes to their parents, it is the most selfish thing in the world IMO. Just completely forgetting about the people who love them and rely on them like a parent does. It is selfish I don't care what any of you "preachers" say.

He may have done a decent job of hiding his depression and intentions to kill himself from people who were around him in real life. Would not have been the first time in history. And, it's very possible that he was so disconnected from real-life human interaction that he really didn't have anyone to share his anguish and intentions with other than semi-anonymous people on the internet. Anyone who's seriously considering killing themselves isn't exactly clear-headed and thinking straight, anyway.

It's entirely possible. There are a lot of extremely lonely people with internet access out there. And even if he had people in reality that you think he could have talked to, obviously, for some reason, he felt he couldn't talk to them. For someone to consider suicide- which goes against every inborn and evolutionary instinct of living things- requires a chemical imbalance and all sorts of things going haywire in the brain. At that point, people aren't acting in their right mind- they believe (in most cases) 100% truly that the world would be better without them, that they are doing a service. Can you imagine believing with complete conviction that your parents would not cry for you or miss you?

Even if it is 'just for attention' in some cases- what kind of f'd up mind would crave attention so desperately as to make suicidal gestures/go through with suicide? There's, again, got to be some serious chemical things going on in the brain.

The point is, you don't go around putting schizophrenic people down for 'making up voices' for attention, or 'acting catatonic' for sympathy. Yet schizophrenia is a recognized disorder with severely altered perceptions of reality- but you can't believe that thinking that the people who love you actually hate you is another form of severe delusion?

Unless you're inside that person's mind, which you never will be, shut the f*** up. You have no idea what's going on in there. What does it really matter to you if they're making it up? It's their problem if they're that messed up, but when you use it for your amusement, you're just likely making it the county coroner's problem.

I've had a family member kill themselves, so your response holds no water with me and, frankly, makes you sound emotionally devoid. I'm all too familiar with the damage it does to those left behind. It doesn't stop me from feeling a bit of sympathy for those people suffering so much that they would go to that extreme. Maybe it's because I still regard them as human beings; ones who have little self-worth left and are basically debilitated. You seem to regard them as selfish, pathetic losers. Ahhhhh, perspective.
