I have to admit. I'm really anticipating the 6th dvd. I got so used to the English dubs (which are actually good, in this case) that I can't watch it any other way. This series is leaps and bounds better than the original 89 version. (though I used to love that too).

How did they manage to make Guyver 3 MORE of a badass?
... I didn't think it was possible.

Guyver 3 is awesome in the show. He's not only a sympathetic character but he remains an ambiguous character. Even now I'm not sure what side he is truly on.

agreed, I can't shake the feeling that Agito will turn on Sho in the end. Can't wait to see that mega guyver in action in the next vol.

Interestingly enough I got to review Guyvers 1-4 for IGN. That was pretty cool.

Hopefully I'll be doing the rest of the series for the site as well.

And is volume 6 out yet?

no vol. 7 comes out Nov 2. Vol. 6 is already out.

Weird...my copy of volume 7 came out last sunday...so this means that my hunt for new Guyver Stuff is over :( ... for now...

Ok am I the only one whos alittle disappointed with how they ended this? I mean they didnt resolve anything! Does anyone know if they're gonna continue the story with a new series?

Venom, can you tell us in spoiler tags how it ends?

Haven't heard of any plans for a second season. From what I understand the series pretty closely follows the manga. I'm not sure how much further the manga went.

Keep in mind the new series was a more faithful re-telling after the original movie and the shorter OVA series.

[blackout]The series ends with a huge throw down between Aptom and a reoptimized Zx-tole, who became a lost number to be able to fully take on Aptom. Zx-tole is literally wiping the floor with Aptom while Mizuki and Tetsuro watch. Mizuki starts praying for Sho to be alive and comes to help them. At that same moment a cocoon that Chronos found in the rockies starts to glow and breaks out of the Dead Sea Optimization center that it was being stored at. At the same time Guyver 3 and his anti chronos movement is attacking the very same center. Guyver 3 sees the cocoon floating above the center and senses Sho within. As Guyver 3 draws close to the cocoon it teleports them both into the sky above Aptom and Zx-Tole similar to the first scene way back in Vol.1. Guyver 3 joins the fight while the cocoon crash lands nearby. Even with Guyver 3's help Zx-tole is still kicking ass. Mizuki goes to the Cocoon, somehow sensing Sho within. She places her ear against the cocoon and hears a heartbeat within, sudenly the cocoon starts to glow again and open up revealing Guyver Gigantic (which looked absolutly badass!) the fight takes to outer space as Zx-Tole and Guyver Gigantic fights. Long story short, Guyver Gigantic defeats Zx-Tole by using the Giga Smasher. Afterwards he heads back to Mizuki and Tetsuro where a happy reunion ensues.[/blackout]

The End.

Sorry its not super detailed, iv only watched it once.

My problem is they revealed alot of plot lines this vol. that they didnt bother to tie up. Like [blackout]Chronos completely taking over![/blackout] and [blackout]Chronos planning something with the Dead Sea and Mass Optimizations.[/blackout]

Heres hopin they continue the story.

What about Archanfel and the Zoa-Lords? What about Guyot?

Is Cronos still alive and well at the end? What happened to the anti-Cronos scientists working under cover under Cronos?

Archenfel and the Zoalords now control the world. Each Zoalord controls a country, they never revealed what happened to Guyot. Chronos is very much alive and well at the end, they're plannin on releasing something in the Dead Sea thats part of the Mass Optimization Project. Right now optimization is strictly volentary but it looks like thats about to change. The anti-Chronos scientists survived aswell but they don't reveal what happened to them after Chronos took over, they're prob workin with Guyver 3's anti Chronos resistance.

Well that's rather unsettling. I'm not sure if there's anymore manga for them to adapt, but I hope they would continue the story after that.

Oh, don't worry. There's a HELL of a lot more to continue the story...

^^^

I hope so! Guyver rocks! G3 is the best! He's soooooooo Gangsta! "Call me, Zeus!" Hahaha!

I'm confused, why has the manga never been published in the US? I mean the anime is a hot-seller here. The manga could be as well.

And if there's more story after the end of the anime, I'd like to know what happens.

the first few were published in the early 90's but didn't sell well
I guess they think it still wont

Well that was before the anime came here and did quite well. A company should try pushing all of it now.

I've just start watching The Guyver, and I must say it's amazing! I really, really like it. It's one of the best animes I've ever seen. Currently watching the old school one and the 2005 one. Great stuff!

I think the 1980's OVA is pretty good for it's time.

I even enjoy the second live action movie starring DAVID HAYTER of Solid Snake and X-men fame.
