So, looks like Pepper is gonna have a decent role in these movies. Paltrow films quite a lot and there are hints she might even fight along with Tony! IMDB features her stunt double in the cast.

I'm so happy you started this thread! Pepper is one of my faves so I was overjoyed to see the set pics of her. Hopefully, she either still has her Extremis powers or Tony gives her the Rescue armor to help fight/save civilians. The MCU is so short on female heroes that depowering Pepper never made sense.

Women change their hair color all the time for all sorts of reasons out here in the real world. Why should it be any different in the fictional world of the MCU? Cap's hair has also gone through various shades of brown/dirty blond, Thor's wig game and eyebrows constantly evolve and Tony switches back and forth from graceful grey to Just For Men. Nobody seems to have much problem with comic book-inaccurate male hair but women are seldom cut any slack.

Also, a character sharing the hair color of/looking the same as his/her portrayer =/= being the same person. Otherwise, no actor has ever acted a day in their lives.

I love Gwyneth as Pepper, in fact it's like her only roll outside of Shakespeare I even remember lol. She's really charming. Seeing her or Tony die would be sad as hell for me. I want to see her in her own armour as well, and I think that's what should have happened in Iron Man 3 instead of the extremis mess... she was bad ass in that moment tho ??

Her Infinity War hair color is no more her own than the red was. It's costume. Both of them.

Rachel McAdams who I would've preferred but she turned down the role. I liked RDJ and Rachel's dynamic in the Sherlock movie and I wanted to see more of that in the IM movies but alas no.

I don't love Paltrow as a person, but she deserves A LOT of credit for how good Iron Man 1 is. She isn't at all sleepwalking through it, and provides some of the best moments:

'Oh, wow, is that like a thing that'll pick the lock?'

Although I do like Rachel McAdams, I appreciate that Gwyneth Paltrow is more age appropriate to be with Tony. I'm a little tired of the automatic 10 to 20 year age difference if the male star is older than 35. And I think she's great as Pepper. I'm not sure the listing a stunt double for her is proof she's going to suit up though. There were moments in all of the IM movies where one might have been needed, yet she wasn't fighting in them either, (except for that scene in IM3, which was super cool IMO.) I would love it if she would. I'm just not sure it'll happen. I do hope she still has her Extremis powers though and all Tony did was stabilize it for her. I can't imagine him being OK to completely remove something that would help her heal considering how dangerous it can be to be around him if he could help it.

Scarlet Witch is a red head in this one rather than her regular brunette but to be comic accurate she should have black hair.

Black Widow being blond in this is a nod to the blonde Widow from the comics.

Both characters have been in hiding since Civil War so the change of hair color makes sense.

I always wished they cast someone shorter than RDJ but still age appropriate as Pepper. I just don't see romantic chemistry between Paltrow and RDJ. But it doesn't matter now.

I thought they had it in the first Iron Man and The Avengers. Iron Man 2 and 3 just felt like Pepper was nagging Tony the whole time.

Weird, I've never questioned Paltrow's chemistry with RDJ-- and that's something, since I don't much care for Paltrow in general. But she's seamless as Pepper. Really under-appreciated I think-- There really aren't many actresses who can convincingly project authority over Downey.

Pepper has become such an underrated MCU character over the years.

I think that's because people are just "over" Paltrow's pretentiousness and can't separate the actress from the character.

I'm glad she's back for Infinity War. I was actually really happy to see her in Spider-Man: Homecoming as well, as I thought her character got completely written out after seeing Civil War.

Yeah, actually mostly really like Pepper. Paltrow's a typical basically-textbook smug pretentious Hollywood *****eturtle, but that doesn't come across with the character.
