The Avengers Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Pots in the Avengers

I just wanted a thread for Pepper Pots. I loved her portrayal this time round. Gwyneth looked very sexy in her short shorts showing off her legs and sitting around casually in her bare feet. It was a nice role and I'm glad it was in the movie. I think it added much to the whole thing.

I just wish that Tony was able to get in touch with her when he was flying into the portal and was even able to tell her that Phil Coulson had been killed in battle. Then maybe Pepper could've told Tony to nuke those bastards!

Who else enjoyed her in the movie?

I think that she did a very good job, a little bit more laid back than the others, Her and Tony's back and forth's we're hilarious.

I thought she was a great little cameo in the movie. AFter writing her a little too shrill in IM2, Whedon comes in in TA and makes her more likable than ever with only one scene (well three, but she only has dialogue in one). He brought back their oddball-comedy rapport from IM1 and they were in their little scene together.

It's nice to see Pepper dressing down and being casual and lovey-dobey around Tony. Gwen and RDJ have amazing chemistry together I hope to see them together in the IM movie for many years to come. Too bad Natalie Portman can't make a cameo in TA though.

In terms of attractiveness, I think Gwyneth had been hit-or-miss for me. However, seeing her in that white shirt and short shorts in TA did get my blood flowing quite a bit. Whedon really nails the chemistry and rapport they shared in IM1 (and sadly missing in IM2) in this movie, and one hopes that aside from IM trilogy, they'll get to star in another movie where they can continue this kind of relationship, much like Douglas and Turner did back in Romancing the Stone and War of the Roses.

I'm hoping they just do a straight up screwball comedy like those with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. One Fine Day was trying to imitate that, but RDJ is in another league to George Clooney as far as having the gift of the gab.

She did look sexy like that. I think it was more for the purpose of not standing taller than RDJ though, and not purely for sex appeal.

I think what I liked about Gwyneth in this movie was that she was sexy in a girl-next-door way that kind of reminded me of how she was when she was much younger and first starting out.

She was in the movie A LOT more than I had expected. The most of her I assumed we'd see was the bit of her on the plane watching the Chitauri attack on the news.

I thought she was more likeable here than she was in Iron Man 2. She was more like she was in Iron Man 1, where she wasn't angry at Stark in every scene and had an easy going chemistry with RDJ. I liked that a lot.

Personally I like Colbie Smulders/Maria Hill the best. I'd like to see Colbie in a denim shorts like the one Gwen was wearing.

Whedon managed to get the right balance with Pepper. I think in IM2 everyone was a little overdone, including Stark himself. They've both been toned down back to IM1 level which is much better.

Rather than just talk about her code of dress in the movie, I'm really happy she made it in. It helped really sell Tony's side of the story and made them both even more developed characters. That and getting Selvig from Thor again really helped as well so it makes what happened in the previous movies matter more IMHO.

I was actually surprised they didn't introduce a new love interest for Steve in this movie (though there was that look that Hill gave him when he first stepped on to the deck of the helicarrier...), but I guess they're saving that for Cap 2. Probably Sharon Carter.

Might be over analazying but do you think the Blond waitress in the new york battle going to carry over into cap 2 ? mabye Sharon Carter but the girl from the Cap 1 isnt she confirmed for Cap 2 ?

Amanda Righetti I don't think was ever confirmed for Cap 2. There were rumors she'd be in Avengers but I believe those were false.
