The Avengers Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Pots in the Avengers

I loved Paltrow in this one. Like others have said, Joss brought back IM1 Potts. And her chemistry with RDJ now that their characters are a couple was amazing. She was in it for, what, 2 minutes? But, imo, she helped build up Stark's emotional state and place in the world a lot.

She was in the movie for a lot longer than I was expecting. I thought it would be just a 30 second cameo like when she was in the plane when Tony tried to call her. Oh and her being in short shorts was niiiice.

Is she still the CEO of Stark Industries or did she actually quit like she said she would at the end of IM2? I think the fact that she doesn't have to run a multi billion dollar company made her more easy going this time around.

I enjoyed seeing a sweeter side to her and Tony's relationship. I loved their back and forth banter in IM and IM2, but seeing them being affectionate was a nice change.

I was concerned that Whedon would allow Stark to say some cheesy goodbyes to Potter via comlink, but thankfully he didn't do that and it made Stark's potential sacrifice even more dramatic. Good to see the movie ended with these two lovebirds over at the soon-to-be Avengers Tower as well.

That's probably the main reason for it. However, in all the other movies, she probably didn't wear shoes either, but it was never explicitly shown. She was just assumed to be wearing shoes. In this one though, maybe Whedon also did it for the sexiness factor. After all, she did look sexier like that in her bare feet with her long legs also showing.

The thing I wonder is whether RDJ had to wear lifts when standing next to Chris Evans when in the Iron Man armour. Often RDJ would only be wearing part of the suit in reality, with the rest CGI-ed in. Therefore, in order to appear taller (and he does in many shots), was he standing on a box? I don't think he was wearing the actual armour because that's too stiff to film in.

Often RDJ would only be wearing part of the suit in reality, with the rest CGI-ed in. Therefore, in order to appear taller (and he does in many shots), was he standing on a box? I don't think he was wearing the actual armour because that's too stiff to film in.

I think I saw a set photo of him wearing a sort of high heels. Though I don´t know how to find it anymore

Yeah, he was probably wearing lifts or man-heels. There is a picture of it somewhere but I haven't seen it here in a while.

I wouldn't have minded if somehow Gwyneth had been there when Coulson died. Maybe he could've died protecting her. That way, it would've added to the realism of the impact because Tony would've seen how much it affected her. Of course, I'm not sure what she would've been doing on the Helicarrier though.

Pepper Potts is the only good love interest in a superhero movie I can remember since... I don't know, Catwoman. Or maybe Jennifer Connelly's Betty.
