Yes, were coming back soon, but only because I signed that fat, $45,000,000 contract.
For those of you who arent familiar with the first season, Hype! Idol is a game based off of - you guessed it! American Idol.

So, this thread is basically just to kick things off - see whos interested in being the next Hype! Idol. A start date (as well as other necessary information) will be posted in this thread. But dont expect the game to start at least for a few weeks!

In the spoilers below are some questions you may have if you're interested in participating. Oh, and the answers, too. Now, if you're familiar with Season 1, you're welcome to skip all this junk. But a refresher may not hurt!
What will I be responsible for?
Each week (an undetermined length of time between episodes) you must choose a song that fits within the given theme, record the song and send it in to the host(s) by the given deadline.
Do I have to audition?
Yes, sorta. There will be an auditions round, but whether or not that will determine whether you make it into the game depends upon how many people actually audition. In the first season, we had an auditions round, but since we had the exact amount of people for the finals, we did not eliminate anyone that round. However, if the auditions round actually acts as a means of shortening the roster, who makes it to the finals depends upon the judges, not the Community.
I have to record a song? What does that require?
You must have a microphone or webcam as well as a program which allows you to record and save a voice or video file. You will have to upload your performance to a free audio/video hosting website. Well let you know which website that is when we decide which is best-suited for our game.
Im going to win. But, when I do, what do I get?
Well, youll definitely get the title and bragging rights. And, lets face it - its so cool to brag on the internet. As for a more substantial prize, well, we havent figured anything out yet. But its possible!
Id rather be a judge - is that possible?
There is only room for 3-4 permanent judges, and we already have some folks in mind. But if you are interested, youre welcome to say so in this thread. And, hey, we may need some guest judges!
Last season had some huge and annoying hiatuses. Will that happen again?
No. Most of that was due to participants not fulfilling their duties. And thats really what this game depends on. We cant have a show if we dont have performances. This time around, though, peoplell be removed from the game if they cant provide the goods.
When does this shindig start?
Were not too sure. At the moment, other Hype! Games are flooding (and I mean that in a good way) the Hype!. The show probably wont start until after Survivor ends. Expect it to be at least a few weeks.
Okay, so, I want to do this. What do I do?

NOTE (Please Read): This game is successful only if contestants meet their deadlines. If you agree to participate, you are stating that you will have the free time and will to record, upload and send a performance in by the given deadline as well as complete any additional activities that may be required.
