I won't lie. I haven't cared about Easter since I became too old for egg hunting.

My family never really had an egg hunt tradition. We did it maybe twice, but that's all I can remember. It was usually too cold and damp out to do anything in the yard, so we rarely ever did the whole egg hunt thing. For me, easter was always about coloring the eggs, eating lots of candy, and having the big meal ad Grandma and Grandpa's house. Oh yeah, and sometimes we'd get gifts too, but typically it would just be stuff like books and videos.

We did it every year. We'd get up like crazy early, like it was Christmas, get our humongous baskets of candy and toys then the next hour and a half was spent putting on our suits for church (Please don't put your 5 year old in a suit and expect him to know how the button works). We'd have some special service at church then come home and easter egg hunt.

Although, I really never got the point of the hunt. And then have a huge dinner.
