Or at least it should be called today am I right?!?! Give Marvel some lovin today!!

6/16, cute.

Good enough for it I suppose.

Oh man, I'm primarily I'm primarily a DC reader, but I'm using today to start catching up on many of the Marvel books I've let lapse recently like Iron Man and some of the Avengers books.

Marvel was the company that I got into as a kid. Something about their product was so much better than DC; and, I still have such fond memories of my earliest comics. I remember my mom bought me my first comics. Defenders Annual #1 I enjoyed on a long trip to the East Coast. I remember my mom reading me the book while she sat in the back seat with me. She got me Peter Parker, Spider-Man #1, featuring the Tarantula. Spidey Super-Stories was a favorite. (It wasn't necessarily a good comic, but they are sure pricey now if you want back issues.)

I didn't really get heavy into comics until Star Wars came out. Whitman 3-packs made those easily available, and I think I remember issues 1-18 being available. I hated when the packs stopped coming; but, at that time, I remembered seeing an ad in the comic books about a comic shop in Tacoma. (A comic shop was a rare thing back then.) The shop was called O'Leary's; and, I can still remember the utter awe I felt when I walked in. Seriously, back issues of stuff I always wanted to read! Heck, I loved just looking at the covers.

I did subscribe to three four comics: Rom, Dazzler, Micronauts, and Star Wars. I wish Marvel would spend a little money and bring back Rom. I know it will never happen, though.

My life would not be what it is without Marvel comics as well as the cinematic universe. Now that I think of it, a majority of things I look forward to in life and geek and talk with about friends is Marvel. Heck, I've made close friends due to the same interest as Marvel.

Reading the comics growing up, and watching the animated series, my imagination and dreams have grown too.

Ha, cool idea. Marvel's my jam, yo. I've enjoyed DC's comics over the years, but I'm currently ignoring all of their comics because of the New 52. I don't think I could ever actually do that with Marvel. I'd have to at least keep reading Thor or an Avengers comic or something.
