Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

I saw it today and I thought it was very funny. Some of it was funnier than the first one, but it was really all over the place and I felt a lot of scenes were cut from the film.

For example,

NPH gets killed after causing trouble at a sex club and he's forgotten about afterwards it seems like.

But for me the highlights of the film was Kal Penn, Neil Patrick Harris(as always he was even funnier and random in this one), and Rob Corddry was great as the stereotypical dumbass CIA agent.

Overall it was good but definitely could've been better.

It was funny, but it's no where near as good as the first film. But still very funny.

I honestly felt like it was just a poor man's version of Beavis and Butthead Do America.

I liked this movie, kept me laughing.

Anyone know the words to the poem that Kal Penn said at the end? That was hilarious.

It was funny but it wasn't rolling down the aisles funny, the first one is still the best, I saw it at a theater next to a university and of course there were some juvenile idiots laughing at every scene, reminded me of Robert DeNiro in Cape Fear.

The title should've been renamed Harold & Kumar Go To Amsterdam because they're only in Guantanamo Bay for the first half, reminded me of Jason Takes Manhattan and Jason only arrived in NY in the last half hour.

Wait for it on DVD, it's not worth the 9 dollars I spent.

^ nowadays you are dissapointed by everything.

I loved this movie.

you didnt stay after the credits? you missed the best part of the movie man

What happened? Just put in spoilers tags. None of my friends wanted to stay to see if anything was after the credits.

This Movie Was The ****.... I Was Literally Laughong Every Scene Possiblly Better Then The First But A Tough Call... I Loved It Want To See It Again Can't Wait For The Dvd Must See I Give It A 9/10

it shows the fox hole again, and NPH begins to lift himself off the ground to some pretty epic sounding anthem. and then just a black screen and he says something like "Mother****er!"
honestly it kinda made the movie for me. i mean, the entire movie was really good, but the ending kinda had me going' "meh". and then that happened. me and my girlfriend were the only people who were left in the theatre too. so spread the news, there's stuff after the credits.

Dammit! I missed that?! Now I'm going to go back and see the movie again just for that scene. But what you described sounds really damn cool and proves why NPH is a badass.

Seriously these films made me like NPH more. I love how he's not the type of celebrity who takes himself seriously and can't poke fun at himself.

where do you guys think they can go with a third film? after the box office this weekend they should be thinking about it.

It wasn't as good as the first movie. It was OK...but not great like the first one. I think what hurt this movie was the horrible pacing, which is the editors fault. the movie was about what, 90 minutes? But it felt like it was 3 hours long. Kumars side plot with Vanessa I felt was unesccary and really forced. Corddry's CIA charecter got old real quick and they just shoved those ignorant racist jokes down our throats.
The ending felt rushed. He just finds Maria, they kiss and that's it. Movie over! Wtf?

But still it made me laugh and I think I was just comparing it to the first one too much. The first half of the movie was VERY funny. Second act was OK and by the third act I was looking at my watch.

7/10 (Extra point comes from the first movie.)

NPH should consider doing a spin-off. I think it could work well.

Well, it surpassed its budget opening weekend and even though it will barely make over 20 million domestically, it'll be a success. I'm not sure how they could do a sequel, but if they do...I really hope they get back on form like the first one as opposed to some cheap ripoff of Beavis and Butthead Do America.

Baby Mama beat them out this time around box office wise.

Its no suprise. One was rated R, one was rated PG-13. Harold and Kumar is already north of its budget though, so I'm sure the studio wouldn't be opposed to making another movie piss cheap.

Dude really you're making it seem as if it's the best comedy of the year.
