Production Weekly reports that the sequel to 2004's Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is planned for a late January start date in Shreveport, Louisiana. John Cho and Kal Penn are set to reprise their roles as Harold and Kumar, respectively.

In Harold & Kumar 2, the cross-country adventure follows the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun the authorities after being suspected as terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board a flight to Amsterdam.

The screenplay is by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who wrote the first film's script and will co-direct the sequel.

I thought it was funny for what it was and i'm glad there's gonna be a sequel.

Take the l away from the title and you got a completly other movie. thats not for kids at all.

I remember going to see Harold & Kuman absolutely baked out of my mind... it was awesome. Just the little things, like the look on Kumar's face after he drops the scissors into the floor, are what made this movie great.

Plus, Freakshow's wife was ridiculously hot

NPH forever!

I hope Rosenberg & Goldstein are back too or atleast get a spin off movie. There was a rumour they would get a spin off movie where you see what the got up to while Harold and Kumar where going to White Castle.

I'm glad the storyline is acknowledging their plans from the end of the first movie to go to Amsterdam. And yes, Maria's fine ass better be back (I believe the actress plays a beat cop on The Shield, now).

Yeah, I was watching the first movie this past weekend, and it's still hilarious! Neil Patrick Harris was hysterical! "I left some. . . love stains in the back seat. You'll see!"
