There were WMDs in Iraq.Remake is not the same as reboot
Remake is not the same as reboot
Okay. Which do you consider Star Trek to be? It threw out everything the previous films established and stayed close to the original by saying that the changes were brought about by a time warp.I dont think so because reboot you basically throw out alot to everything the previous film established (TIH)
Remakes are supposed to stay a little closer to the original movie (The Departed)
oh ya ST is a good exampleHave reboots gone too far? Not as far as what's already been made. It's what they plan to make but haven't yet. For instance, Cliffhanger. Neal Moritz said and I quote, "Just as they rebooted Star Trek, we're going to do the same with Cliffhanger." WTF? Cliffhanger wasn't a franchise. It was one movie and there's nothing about that one movie that can be "rebooted".
Reboot, because it did have elements of the old series, but the unvierse that they are in doesnt follow a specific previous story like how remakes do.Okay. Which do you consider Star Trek to be? It threw out everything the previous films established and stayed close to the original by saying that the changes were brought about by a time warp.
Generally. I've said this before, but as much as I love Batman Begins, and I do love it, it's the movie that caused reboots to be considered every time a sequel isn't as good as earlier films. EVERY time. I'm sorry Spidey fans, but Spider-Man 3 wasn't so bad that every Spider-Man film from here on out should be set in a new continuity.oh ya ST is a good example
and thats what Im confused about to Cliffhanger had one movie how is it a reboot.
I always thought reboot applied with the idea of a franchise or series in mind and remake being for one film
Sometimes that's true.I hate remakes of classic films because 1.) You've seen it before & 2.) They're all suckier than the original.
?But reboots are fine because they're usually based on a good franchise that should see the light of day again.
