They're kind of like a Wal-Mart of private investigator firms. They collect and compile data on people all over the world. Things like Medical, tax, insurance claims, voting, telephone and income records. Then they sell it to anyone willing to pay for it. The government, more often then not.War Lord said:What is choicepoint?
They are the company that provided Jeb Bush with the list of 94,000 names to "scrub" in Florida in the 2000 election that helped his idiot brother steal the elction and steal the Presidency. Bush Co. used them again (a guise on having a list to fight the war on terror) to try to steal the election in Mexico away from the left-leaning candidate Lopez Obrador. However, Lopez Obrador is not going down easy like Gore did and he is currently not conceding the election and won't stop until there is a complete recount of the close to 1 million votes that have "been lost". Sound familiar? Yeah, think Florida in 2000, but on a much larger scale. In fact, it is only George Bush and his spokesman Tony Snow who have said the Electoral Commission has chosen a winner and that winner is their boy, Felipe Calderon. The elections in Mexico are far from over despite what Bush Co. states. BTW, that idiot George Bush actually called Calderon and congratulated him even though thre Mexican Electoral Commission has yet to announced results and declare a winner.War Lord said:What is choicepoint?

Disco. Do you read Palast? He's got a really interesting chapter in his latest book about CP.reggiebar said:They are the company that provided Jeb Bush with the list of 94,000 names to "scrub" in Florida in the 2000 election that helped his idiot brother steal the elction and steal the Presidency. Anyhow, ChoicePoint is bad, bad news and if I was any of you, I would learn as much about them as possible.

Angelina Jolie had a baby. It's name is Shiloh. "Look at the little bunny, America. Wook at da wittle buwny."reggiebar said:I have been reading Palast since the 2000 election as he is the only reporter who does any actual "reporting". American reporters don't report, they repeat. Repeat what the government gives them to repeat. Palast is a true reporter the likes of which America hasn't seen since Watergate. Seriously, what is the last big news story that was actually broke in America due to reporting since Watergate? None. It is a sad fact when the only journalism that actually does any reporting in America is sports journalism. Political, Corporate journalism - DEAD in America. It is disgusting!
it was 3 million and you have no ****ing idea of what **** you are spewingreggiebar said:They are the company that provided Jeb Bush with the list of 94,000 names to "scrub" in Florida in the 2000 election that helped his idiot brother steal the elction and steal the Presidency. I was under the impression that it was 3 million in 2004. And as far as I know about ChoicePoint, reggie was pretty acurate in his description.Corinthian said:it was 3 million and you have no ****ing idea of what **** you are spewing

Yes, I do have an idea of what I am spewing as the number of "supposidly" blank votes in the Mexican election is "now" being reported at around 904,000 - although that number is still in debate as there could be as many as 3 million votes in question - not just blank votes.Corinthian said:it was 3 million and you have no ****ing idea of what **** you are spewing

I am very aware of what I am spewing as I have been following this on a daily basis since before the election on July 2nd.
One, I didn't say that Bush was the only one to call him and congragulate him on the "supposed" win. Did I? Yes, he is one of a HANDFUL of foreign leaders to call him. Bush is still an idiot for doing as much despite that the Prime Minister of Spain also made the same mistake. In fact, Calderon is currently trying to distance himself from Bush and even made the statement "Tear down that wall. Build no walls".Corinthian said:Uhm... the whole votes "missing" were actually not
you see. It was agreed in the elections of 2000 and 2006 by the candidates and the parties to put aside all of the electoral booths that come in with some inconsistentness like missing numbers or illegible writings and stuff like that. All of those would be put in a file. It was agreed in february by the parties. Lopez Obrador just used that information to throw off the people who didn't know
And not only Bush congratulate Calderon, but various presidents including the Socialst Prime minister of Spain.
What the hell?reggiebar said:Do you want to start diuscussing how the White House obtained Mexican voter rolls from ChoicePoint which is illegal in Mexico as voter rolls are considered private and confidential. Perhaps you want to discuss how the ruling party, the PAN, not only obtained these voter rolls, but used them for campaigning which is illegal.
Corinthian said:What the hell?
no, it's not like that. It was like a What the hell you get from a TheSumOfGod's post.reggiebar said:Exactly. You have no idea what you are talking about Sparky if you don't know about ChoicePoint's involvement with obtaining voter rolls and the ruling parties attempt to distance themselves by attempting to arrest ChoicePoint's agents by putting out warrents for their arrest. ChoicePoint has since apologized to the Mexican government. However, the election is far from over as "the Elections Tribunal will decide by August whether, in fact, the election has to be annulled and a new election held. Theres a lot of talk among political leaders there quietly that annulment of the election is a strong possibility."
Save it pally as you are the one who is in the dark on this subject.
Corinthian said:no, it's not like that. It was like a What the hell you get from a TheSumOfGod's post.
And yes, it is a strong possibility. But I rather see Calderon on the precidency than a ****ing Salinist that will lead us to Economical chaos
